Question: What is a sonofabitch exactly?

Quite often we ask ourselves hard to answer questions, like "What is a sonofabitch?" The only true thing is that a picture is worth a thousand words. In this photo the guy on the right is a member of a bomb squad in midst of a deactivation. The guy behind him, well....he's a sonofabitch.

Well, a bitch is a female dog...so I guess a sonofabitch would be the son of a female dog. I've seen a few dogs in my day but can't say I've really met the son of one yet.

What I am fairly sure of is that the photo is fake - not staged, but doctored. If you blow it up and look that the right hand of the guy with the paper bag you can see traces of doctoring.
