Question for the Fitness Buff's of the board

1 pound of fat. I don't know where to look to find the information. AND... does it take that many calories on intake to gain 1 pound???

Somebody asked me and I've got no idea. I've been losing weight and people are starting to notice...I'm pretty educated on the food side but not so much on the exercise side, although I'm working on that. That would be phase 2.
 
500 a day to lose 1 pound a week. 500 a day to gain, too? That I do not know.
