pretty planes

Was it ever fun to fly the Blackbird, Brian Shul.

Great aircraft, some great stories.

Taxing out for departure one day, the tower requested the destination from an SR71, [they were very rare at this airfield], the response from the crew, "sir, do you have any traffic above FL600? Tower: "Ah no", Crew: "Then it does not matter where we are going."

Brian Shul, the only SR pilot to be kicked out of the program. Why? Because he was stupid on multiple occasions.

Here's another:
*** is just a place setting

SR-71 pilot: *** center, flight *** requesting flight level 63, (which is 63,000 feet).

*** center: If you think you can get there, then it's your

SR 71: *** center, flight *** leaving flight level 73 for flight level 63

*** center: #%$#%!! Who the hell are you???

(most commercial planes fly between 28,000 feet to 35,000 feet, on average)
