What happened with this!? Before I could download a picture and be able to post it without a problem and now I can't :( why was the other way to post changed? How do you post now? I've gotten links to images but it gives me an error every time I try and post something now.

Well, you click on the image icon above the text box, when the dialog box comes up click on the link icon then past the link to the image, not a link to the page the image is on.

I can't post any more pictures! I'm using android, and my phone and browser is updated... I don't see the "attach file" icon next to "post reply" like everyone else I've talked to.

Hmmm... as I don't use my phone, which is android I'm afraid I can't help you. Sorry.

I can never get photos to post cuz they’re too large. I’ve kinda given up trying.

As of last night I was able to post photos by clicking on the image icon, and now my attach file box is gone.

When I get one that's too big, I can 'resize' it and save the resized pic under another name. I do it in 'photos', but 'paint' will work, too. Then load the smaller pic. Have you tried loading the pic as a 'thumbnail'? When someone clicks on the 'thumbnail', it will open as a larger pic. Hope this helps.

All this is subject to change, but seeing that the "upload image" icon seems disabled (in the image below, the light blue arrow pointing upward, near the top left is where file uploads would be allowed, but seemingly inoperable now), then this alternative method works (for the moment, and forum posts only, not signatures.)
file drop.pngUntitled.png
  • You can (on a Windows computer at least) use Insert Image, then Drop Image, then... (assuming you have an image file ready, and it's not too big)
  • Prep this in advance: Go to Windows explorer/File explorer and navigate to the folder where your desired image is
  • Click the image, hold the mouse down, and drag it over into the "Drop Image" area (inside the dashed lines.)
    • Tip - when dragging, if your windows explorer window overlays your web browser window - click and drag the file down to your taskbar and hover over your web browser's icon: this brings the browser to the foreground.
  • Background info:
    • To open windows explorer/file explorer - Winkey and E is fastest way, or at the start menu, start typing "Explorer". Click File explorer when it shows up.
    • And if you're uncomfortable with this, it's much safer to ignore this post and don't try it. If you know your way around windows and files and folders and image resizing, then it's fine.

My laptop is old and I don’t really use it. Is any of what you mentioned, doable on an iPad or phone?

I'm not sure. I can speak with confidence on the computer, whereas I'm too impatient to try doing advanced things on the phone. On the phone (iPhone here), I'm not sure the concept of drag and drop exists for files in the same context as it does on a computer with a mouse with buttons, nor the ability to navigate between windows. I know tablets have a bit more flexibility with windows, but again, I'm not sure.

Things may be quite different on Android. I can't comment on that at all, it's been years since I used it frequently.)

Perhaps there's someone out there with more phone expertise who can chime in. Good luck!

Oh, one thing, didn’t even notice. Tunnel vision.

Try clicking within the dashed line box? (Where it says drop image or click here)

It doesn’t offer the drop image or click here option anymore.

Hmm, I'm running out of ideas. As a sanity check, a boatload of questions or ideas...
  1. Using the Literotica App or web browser (on your phone?) (I have no idea what the app does, but seemed worthy of asking in pre, mostly in preparation for my next question...)
  2. Making sure first you for sure know and remember your password... log out and close the browser, then come back in and try again
  3. What browser are you using? Whatever it is or was, try a different one. By default on an iphone you'd probably use Safari.
    1. I use one called DuckDuckGo, partly to keep separate universes... I use one browser for my real life, with emails, family, work, etc.
    2. And any seedy neighborhoods I venture into (like here) is NEVER on the same browser as real life. (Going off on a tangent, use another (third) for Facebook... but digressing.
  4. do you see the link and image icons, at least? (the very top of my first screenshot, the chain link, and what looks like a mountain/sunset?
  5. You'd have to have tried pretty hard to do this, but ********** could be turned off. (Getting into unlikely territories here.)
  6. Rotate your screen. Any differences in views?

I’m so confused, I never had a problem with posting since the new format, until a few days ago. I do have an iPhone, tried switching browsers but no change. I logged out, waited awhile and logged back in, still nothing. I do see the link and image icons, but now when I click on the image icon(mountain/sunset) the chain link comes up and asks for the link. Up until a few days ago, when I clicked on it, the drop image would appear and I would just choose a photo in my gallery, easy as pie.😕

Very strange. Hard to visualize exactly what you’re seeing.

How about the “attach files” button below where you type in replies and just above the “post reply” button?

I’m going to try Imgur but having probs w/o getting the app. My phone is about out of space so I can’t even download an app right now.

Has anyone tried using imgbb?https://imgbb.com/

It seems that most people use Imgur or Reddit.

Turn you phone or tablet to landscape. You know how a computer screen would look, wide not long.
