What's going on with Google safe search?

I did a Google search for Mapplethorpe nudes and got a lot of hits. Most were blurred and required two clicks, one to get message about explicit content and then another click to see the picture. But a few of the pictures resisted that first click. I was never able to see them. Is there a trick to opening up doubly protected images?

Don't have that problem with Duck Duck Go. But Google's searches are probably more complete.

Obviously if you can't turn off Google safe search within two clicks then you are either using someone else's computer/device or perhaps a work computer? Perhaps you should wait until you are on your own device, in the privacy of your own home.

It's a browser option - check your Google settings and turn Safe Search off. It's your computer setting.

I Googled and Googled and found many out-of-date bits of instruction that didn't match my user interface. Finally I saw this buried in some text somewhere: Google/safesearch. Worked like a charm.
