First of all I know this is not a personal ad and I'm sure someone will move this thread to somewhere where it will die a quick death. But before I voice my annoyance with Lit, let me say something nice...

The Lit personals is a very good medium for people to connect with others to discuss and debate "all things sexual". I've met some wonderful interesting people who I've shared many good conversations with and I am very appreciative for those discussions. Thank You.

BUT.....

Lit has many drawbacks, so consider this area your personal therapeutic HR department where you can voice your most annoying thing about lit.

I will go first if no one minds.

The "bumping" of your own thread. OK I get it. Maybe you don't want to flood lit with a new thread looking for the very same thing you want, desire or need. But chances are, if not one person of the many on here do not "fit" what you seek or simply aren't interested in responding to your thread, why do you insist on constantly "bump" your own thread? On my past account, I never bumped my own thread. I simply let it die figuring no one was interested or maybe I wasn't descriptive enough in what I was seeking. So a few times I went back and edited it being more clear and detailed. But if your 7 word, vague plea for something didn't work, why would you think that the 30 times you bumped your own thread would change the outcome? Here's an idea...

Ask a friend on here to post some kind of response to you, this may stoke some conversation which will in turn get you out there interractioning with others.

But then again, who am I to give advice to anyone?

And yes, I also include the words "anyone?" and "still looking" in this same category.

kudos + bravo!

I like to tell you first that I find your idea for this thread a great one. Also your advice on ad bumping.

Next, I hope you don't mind a Litster posting now, who has fallen into disgrace here lately. For venting several unpupolar views.

So here come two gripes for me: #1: some women - often newbies - who have essentially NOTHING to say about themselves, other than "35 F" or so, but who still Display their expectation that the world of Lit should immediatly stop what they are doing, and come to attend to their needs; their "needs" being fighting their own boredom mostly. I read one or two pseudo-"ads" of one such lady today.

But if that is not bad enough, here comes my gripe #2: some idiot males actually responding to such pseudo ads.

Gripe #2
I wish they'd take the time to read the entire thread noting it's fake.

Which leads me to another....

Reviving a thread from years ago where the OP hasn't been active for years as well? Talk about desperation. "hmmmmmmm maybe she'll respond to my post "PM sent" 😂😂

People who are mean cockwombles for the sake of it... you got nothing nice to say, move along...

Giggles

I got a good one.
People that respond to a thread that's been sitting dormant for years. C'mon and check the date posted then the profile to see if that person is even active on this site anymore. In the last week I came upon 3 responses to a thread looking for sex and the original member, and only poster, was NO LONGER HERE yet someone replied as if they were expecting a quick response. Research first, pays off better. js.
Thanks.

It's strange that some of those threads really take off. Then there are always people who weren't around when the thread was started.

That's the reason I avoid certain Litsters and threads. I had a very bad experience years ago.

I'm not here often enough/haven't had enough interactions to know who to stay away from. I just know that it goes on and it tends to bother everybody to some extent.

I've run into it through friends and because I've talked to so - and - so which upset a friend of mine.

Lit is sometimes like a high school hallway, between classes...

Judgemental attitudes.. I'm definitely not one of the dirtiest posters I've seen on lit but I still manage to cop a lot of judgement for being open and honest on my opinion.

I refrain from judging or giving my unsolicited opinion. If I don't like what you say, I ignore you. Simple. I'm not here to judge anyone or be judged.

*silently judges you for not being into "Furries" * :D
It's the floppy ears and fuzzy tail butt plugs

That's the way it should be.
Or minimum if you do have something to say it directly to the person not everyone else.

#1: I do not have "floppy" ears ;)

#2: This is all natural, baby ;) :D

...ok, I'll shut up now :)

This how I roll. And if I find someone or something I’m not personally invested in taking up space in my head because they/it annoys me, I log off and do something offline. Annoying things aren’t worth my energy.

However.....

I do find it annoying that we still can’t change our profiles.

Oops! Maybe it’s time for me to log off. :D

I wish there were an easier way to tell whether a poster is male or female. Sometimes it is obvious, but it would help a lot if people would identify their gender!
If the profile doesn't work, put it in a signature.

I'm doing that and some people are still getting it wrong. Probably on purpose, but still.

I killed the Ask the Moderators thread with the profile question
