I know that there are some stellar cooks out there...why not show/tell us your genius at work? I'll go first.

My favorite on a cold morning (use mits when removing from toaster):

LMAO! Honeychile, that toaster oven has seen better days.

I make a mean bowl of ramen with hot pepper flakes and snowpeas.

Cheese toast is another specialty.

And frozen Cool Whip and graham cracker sammiches.

Sounds yummy to me.

My only culinary secret is

with Cheese - More is better.
Same with Garlic.

My motto:
Everything is better with butter.

Now I'm getting hungry.....
Heavily buttered toast, with garlic and melted sharp cheddar cheese.

That carrot in a jug is lookin' more than vaguely sexual. I'm thinking some unexpectedly lewd thoughts on this culinary thread.

 Well, I never!

Anyway, another tip for good cooking:

Fat, fat, and more fat!

This is so true.

Ever notice on the cooking shows, the chefs always add a dab of butter to sauces at the end? *perk*

My tips are:
Things usually taste better if you brown them in a pan on the stove before sticking them in the oven to bake.
And cast iron pans rock.

Ain't nothin' bad about butter, baby!

Mmm mm good :)

Oh shit, that picture is great!

No, Olivianna - I was Blushing Rose here for a long time and it no longer suited me. I picked that nick as a slightly sarcastic, metaphorical reference to my own petite fleur. Ahem.

When I continued to get pm's asking what one could do to elicit a blush from me and my posts became saltier, the 'blushing' moniker seemed a little off so I asked Laurel to change it to something that would still be recognizable as me but more appropriate. There turns out to be a film with Laura Dern by the same name. I saw it recently and it was very good!

Everything tastes better when the people eating the food don't see it cooking...

My mom taught me how to make these scrumptious "spiky meatballs" when I was little.
