Point me to the thread

Do you realize you can be a total fucking cunt to very established and intelligent members of this board?

I'm kinda sick of your arrogant ways to be honest. You come on here spewing shit you probably heard on the local Republican radio and most of it is Mickey Mouse politics shit that has no substance. And yet, when a poster, such as Azwed who has proven himself to be not only intelligent, but thoughtful, and almost one of the most non-partisan posters on this thread, you treat him like a dog that has been spanked.

Know who you are talking to and what they are on this board before you dismiss them with some grand dame waive.

I was thinking the same thing about your post. You are propogandistic. You like to hold high your flag, and your free speech, and the free press, as if they are a tool for yellow journalism.

That sickens me.

Well, thank you for your post.

I knew you couldn't do a flame without using the word "Republican" in it somewhere. You just don't have it in you. It's also why I don't pay much attention to them any more. They sound like a broken record.

I happen to love Mickey Mouse, by the way. :p

My flame had very little to do with actual Republican beliefs, Cheyenne. I listen to your remarks, Texan's, PC's more conservative beliefs and I read them and know that they are practical. I do not see the same with Desert Rose. This flame had nothing to do with her politics and everything to do with the way she treated Azwed.

Exactly my point. So why is the word "Republican" in it at all? What does it have to do with her post to Azwed? That's all I was trying to get you to see.

In reply to this.

Did I say that anywhere on this thread? Either add something intelligent or go on your way please.

The problem is this celia: WE have a free and open press in America. Every single bad thing that happens here is seen and heard all over the world. It is easy for others in other nations to pick up on all the BAD things and capitalize on them. OOPS, I said capital-ize, and they are all socialists. LOL

If our press was state run as is the case elsewhere, we could control our presence and look real good to everyone, everywhere, at all times.

Underline is my emphasis.

In addition you can have socialist programs with a capitialist system in place. Every country in Europe, as well as the United States, uses a capitalist system combined with socialist programs

I would say that republicans do pretty much have the market cornered on one sided radio talk shows though.

where arrogant, Americans posted threads that attack and bash Canadians, Australians or Brits.

If that were to happen we would be en masse attacked for our arrogant, bigotted ways. But it seems okay for us to be YOUR targets.

I really am tired of this. Am I alone?

british people look at their government completely different to how americans look at theirs ... we hate our government even if we vote for them :)

they are here to serve us not the other way around

we're used to criticizing our own government but since this is mostly a north american board i think american politics are talked about much more then british ... and british people are interested in american politics also ... we maybe tend to criticize your government because we're used to doing that with our own also

i admire american patriotism but i don't follow it

You don't think that the U.S. government is here to serve the people, or that we sometimes hate our government, or that there is not vocal opposition to some government policies over here?

Am I getting this right?

Thank you for your post. As I said before, I have many friends from Australia, Canada and Great Britian. I think you will find that most Americans are not very fond of the government here, either.

And you are correct in pointing out that the tone of the board consists mostly of North Americans and hence, North American politics. Point well made.

Thank you again.

no i don't think that way at all i know you have healthy opposition but you also have strong patriotism although it is quite partisan but we just don't have that

i think american's look at the president almost like english people look at the monarch ... we look at our prime minister as just a mere civil servant :)

i must admit though these views are based mostly on seeing people here at literotica so i could be completely wrong but i am trying to understand how americans look at their government differently compared to british ... im not saying one is better or worse though

maybe english people just like to moan about stuff :)

I think you've got it wrong here sexy-girl. The U.S. public does definitely, in no way, absolutely not, never, ever, never will, look at our President like you look at your Queen.

Never, ever. You are totally wrong. The whole reason we chose to have a president, was to get away from the bad taste your King left in our mouth.

Our president is a civil servant just like your prime minister and we have nothing like a Queen. Never have, unless you count Oprah Winfree. They called Kennedy's administration Camelot, but it was just a name. He and Jackie brought a regal air to the White House, but they were never truly treated like royalty...especially by the Republicans.

Half the people in the country voted against our president.

About 45% of our population disagree with his policies, depending on which one you want to choose. I don't see how this constitutes anything near a reverence to monarchy.

It's true there is a certain amount of the population willing to support Bush simply because they think he should be supported because of what happened on 9/11, but that is fading. I think now Bush is enjoying popularity that stems from a genuine approval of his leadership qualities and his steadfastness in his beliefs.

That doesn't mean he doesn't have critics, very vocal ones, and it doesn't mean he enjoys monarch status.

What it means is that he has genuine approval from a majority of the American public, and that drives the people who disagree with his policies crazy. It's not any more complicated than that.
