I've said it before... I've never gotten an unsolicited nasty PM. I honestly don't even recall a rude one... One or two that scream idiot with their use of chat letters but always polite at least...
My peeve if I had one with PM's is the generic type... The ones from newbs (always guys) that appear to be mass mailed.
I'll always respond to a polite introductory PM... It's only courteous.
