I dont have to worry about that as my wife doesnt have periods anymore...but besides being unsafe, especially if you dont know the girl very well, its gross.

From a females perspective on this..
During that time I am very turned on, more than usual that is, and I know that for myself mine slows way down after a hot shower or bath. So I have a time frame of an hour or so to play, that's when I'll do it.
I will not however allow oral sex to be performed on me during this.
But to say that you'd never have sex during a woman's mensa.. lol that's just rather silly. It isn't catching, it's a natural part of being a woman. There are things that you can do to make the experience just as pleasurable as it is at any other time.

I've just never understood why some are so hung up about it. I don't know why we would want to limit ourselves to certain dates when we want to be intimate.

Well I for one don't really care about that period time. I am careful (on those very rare occasions that sex does occur) because I know that cramps, and 'stuff' can take away some of the 'fun', but for the most part...whats the big deal? Oral sex is a bit...constrained...but everything else is great. (oral bothers her more than me.)

I've got no problem with sex, and as far as oral sex...I can't just dive in there, but if I am careful, I can avoid getting too messy.

I find that during ovulation (approx. 2 weeks prior) and during my cycle are the times when my libido skyrockets and I'm all but accosting him at the door when we get home.
Because this is such a sensitive time for women, and we're prone to mood swings, I think I'd either pummel him into the ground or ball my eyes out if he said he wasn't comfortable with it. I would NEVER expect or even allow him to preform oral sex during this time, but regardless I'd have to respect HIS feelings on the matter.
