Ok I know that there are several links in the library on this subject, but they don't address my particular question. I would like to know how many of the ladies here have had their nipples or hoods pierced. If you have, what was your motivation, and are you happy w/ your piercing? Also, a friend ( you know who you are ) told me that it is about 4 months before you can play w/ your nipples after they are pierced¡K is this the same for everyone? How do you keep other people from knowing that you have a piercing? Ok I better quit now. LOL

I have my nipples done. Follow the threads for safty and procedure. The four months are best period, but if she notices that its still doing some hardcore healing, lay off. Everyone's bodies are different but stay with the 4 months just in case, I know it is tantelizing but its well worth the wait. Making her nipples hard by kissing her neck, running some bites around her breasts or whatever else makes her turned on is almost the equal to pulling tugging in those healing months
Motive for me? I liked the look, and I'm into pain/pleasure feelings of course

Hmmm. Motivation? My partner at the time had his pierced and he had very sensitive nipples. Playing with the rings was a HUGE turn-on for him. It made me very curious and I started reading and looking into it. He, of course, encouraged me to have them done, as well. I also loved the way they looked on other women.

I am extremely happy with them. Nothing prepared me for the way I would feel after having them done, and I wouldn't want to go back to the way I felt prior...I love the increased sensitivity.

Nipples have the longest healing time of all the piercings--4 months minimum is the recommended time. You absolutely DO NOT want those piercings to migrate....it would suck to (a) have them get infected, (b) have them migrate, or (c)have to have them re-pierced because of either (a) or (b). Check out BMEzine.

I don't worry too much about whether people know I have them or not. *shrugs* If they have issues with me having them, that's their problem, not mine.

Thanks Anelize... you always give me the best info.... I actually already have that site bookmarked... I just wanted to hear from you guys and get some real feedback. As to hiding them... that is not because I am ashamed, but because I work in a bank, and because I feel that it is something private to have done... besides, I live for shock value, and I am the last person one would think to have a piercing, so hiding them until I chose to reveal them would be nice.

Something I have a hard time finding is input from folks who have had their piercings for years. Typically the "Oh I just LOOOOOOVEEEEEE it and would never go back-yadda yadda" comes from people who have had theirs under 2 years.

Do you research for the long term.

I have two piercings and one was done (i believe) in spring 98 and another in december that year. It has certainly been long enough to give input on lng term wearing. One is labial, one is hood. I have various pictures posted (amateur board, in a single thread, all pix are of the same theme) and many depictions on my views.

Something that MUST be considered is the squeemishness of a lover. Both my piercings are genital and I do not get oral sex anymore. I have only had one partner (and that was a single episode-sigh) that dove in with delight. Everyone else might give it a slight effort but that is it. I have now given up on ever expecting it again.

While I love my rings and would not change them now, I don't know that if I was standing in the shop deciding on my jewelry again with the knowledge I have now that I would make the same decision.

And, BTW--for the record, labial piercing are statistically the ones with the longest healing time from all that I have read. Mine took a FULL 6 months. My lover at the time was stationed overseas so it was not an issue.

Do your research, wait 6 months, if you still want it, go for it.

I'm not a piercing expert...but I am an an RN with a piercing and I was a breastfeeding mom for 2 years. There are multiple ducts through the nipple through which the milk flows...it would depend on how much scar tissue there is. Has she been seen by her doctor/nurse practitioner? They would be able to more closely determine how the scar tissue has affected the nipple itself. A lactation specialist could help her deal with nursing if she wanted to continue with reduced flow to the one breast and full flow to the other if that was indeed the problem. She needs to see her MD/NP and get the straight story first.

Great advice. There was considerable posting on the GB about a year ago about breast piercing in that the poster publically documented her removal of the piercing because of problems.

It is wise for any woman who expects to breast feed in the near future to get good information BEFORE piercing so she can make an informed choice.

Frenum piercings rock! and if you have a guiche they can be locked as a chastity device.

My motivation was simple. I wanted it done for me, not for a partner I was with at the time.

I have both nipples pierced, for a little over 2 years now.

It took a long time for them to heal. It was at least 4 months til they were usable, and a year til they were totally healed.

I thought it would look very hot, and feel good too... and I was right LOL.

Thanks to everyone for your comments... I have been doing alot of research, and I have decided to get my hood pierced, as that seems to be the one that will heal fastest as well as providing the most ..... hmmmm what word shall I use? Excitement. This is actually something I have been thinking about for over a year, He just provided the final push. I am having it done on July 20th, when I get back from vacation, so I will let you all know how it goes. Wish me luck!

oh my... I hadn't heard about 8 hr orgasms... though I do have a friend who says she carries orajel w/ her to numb herself when walking around alot, to prevent constant, small orgasms. I dont know if that would work or not.. I am gonna field test it, I think.

I'm a member of bmezine and i have talked to the owner and founder of the site aswell (smart guy), so i advocate going there and reading expierences... don't read jsut one... read multiples... one person's expierence can differ much from another...

I cna't vouch for the long run.. i'm only going about 8 months with my vertical hood... i do love it... the only problem i've had with it so far is that my boyfriend was sucking on my clit but he wound up sucking on the bar so much that it hurt... simple correction.. he just needs to be careful where he sucks. He dosne't really like mody modification much but if you're partner loves your body and respects your desires for your body they shouldn't be a brat about it... and if they want to be well than.. maybe their not the one for you.

I've talked about my piercing multitudes of times...

My motivation: I love body modification... i could strech my ears split my tongue get implants in my arms tattoos all up and down my back and piercings all over and probably still want more...
sadly i'm also living in a world where looks and first impressions matter, i am also seeking a future life in a collar job where visible piercings and tattoos are frowned upon. Also i'm a narsissist and i like my face as it is damnit. So that basically left a few ear mods and under the clothes mods. I wanted one piercing, if i were to pierce only one of my nipples i'd feel lopsided. I'm too fat for a belly button piercing. I have a werid relationship with my dentist that prohibits metal in my mouth. so i went for the genetalia. Next was where there.... did you know there's actually a prince albertina? werd. but i heard scary things baout the clit and the fourchette piercings that go alone the lines of tearing migrating and nerve damage, so that left labia and hood... labia has that lopsided efffect again.... so that lefft hood... vertical or horizontal... i liked the streamline look of the vertical....

I'm a mad fast healer... i could already wiggle the barbell arround after a day. BUT YOU SHOULDN"T. I probably shouldn't have either. I kept any vigourious rubbings waiting for the piercing to have a good weekand a half of healing... you're suppossed to wait a month before having sex (mostly becasue of germies and std's and that other fun stuff) but i did it after 3 weeks... yet again i advise you to listen to your piercer... and even more important listen to your body... (not your hormones) if it's getting red and painful... than i think it's trying to tell you something.

uh yeah! so uh.. any more info? I got osme good stories of cellulitious and how my friend almost lost her brest due to a nip piercing....

I went and had my left nipple and hood done a little over a wk ago. They both seem to be healing real good cause neither are really that sore. Can't wait for them to heal completely cause I'll can do right now is just look at them.

I had them a bit over a year, and they never healed properly.. after about the first year one of them started growing out, badly, and finally had to be removed, it left a noticeable change to the nipple. Fortunately it's not bad enough that you can totally see it from for away.
The other nipple I kept in, because it'd always done better, then it all a sudden got a bad infection. The infection quickly spread deep enough that it took a couple of months and some meds to get rid of it.
I was careful with my piercings, and cleaned them well and correctly. Unfortunately my body is one that doesn't like piercings anywhere very much. Each time I get a new one it either doesn't heal, or takes forever to heal.
As of now I just have a tongue piercing,.. and my ears in a couple places.

That is the thing about piercings that may be anywhere near a milk duct. It is so easy to get an infection there.

Its very disappointing.
I've considered trying again, maybe in another few months just to make sure that everything is for sure healed completely. But I'm pretty much afraid that the same thing will happen again. Especially since I've always had problems with my piercings.
It's my favorite piercing on a man or a woman, and it drives me crazy not to be able to have them myself.

The other piercing I've really want is a "Christina" piercing.
