word!

I don't know what I'm doing but that's a pretty wicked pic...I like how the trees make a sort-of frame for the mountain...go with it

I have taken some classes i'm no pro but you have a great eye.

That pic. is great.

Welcome to Lit.

Advice on photography, take lots and lots and lots of photos.

Get totally familiar with your gear.

You already have the eye.

i have done photography at college. It is such a nice pic. They always say to follow the 'rule of thirds' divide your fame up into thirds up and down, and each main subject should fit in thoes frames, like the top of the mountain should be sitting on a third, or the horizon of your pictures should be sitting on a third line. Personally i think if you think too much about rules and the way it 'should be done' you can screw up your ideas but theres a basic rule if it helps, just (in my opinion) dont follow the rule as if it was god and your salvation to better photos.

That is a beautiful picutre! I don't know why you need any tips!

Hey Synnerman! Get over here! This thread's right up your ally!

the only tip anyone ever gave me about photography that i paid any attention to was to rememeber "the higher the f stop the smaller the depth of field"....beautiful picture..

I agree with that, thirds is pleasing to the eye; but always do your own thing practice and you should develop(no pun intended:rolleyes: ) your own 'style'

wink740,

Would you mind getting tips from someone who doesn't have a clue about what they are doing? lol

I think the shot you took is beautiful. It has kind of a surrreal feel to it. I think it has something to do with the color of the sky and the faintness of the moon, and how the jagged snow covered mountains are reaching up to the sky.

Please keep taking more and sharing with us. Thank you.
