The committee is required by House Rules to be constituted of a specific number of members. It isn't. Under the House Rules it has NO POWER OR AUTHORITY until it is so constituted.

The committee is operating illegally against its own enabling legislation which does not provide for an operating population of 7 people. Reports have mentioned Navarro has filed a civil suit in Federal Court. This information could come into play as that case progresses. It could also come up during his prosecution.

The committee isnt there to investigate crimes because Congress doesn't investigate crimes. It's there to expose the bullshit that led up to the attack on the Capitol building, which included several members of Congress. Enjoy the show.

It's authority to operate is bullshit. the enabling legislation was voted on by the whole House. At the very least it should amended to operate with only 7 members by the whole House, not by a pronouncement of the Speaker who was instructed to do otherwise by the law.
