I have recently stumbled into a dominant/ submissive dynamic... and found Myself in the dominant role! This is a surprise to Me, but I am embracing it whole-heartedly!

I am looking for some suggestions on pet names to call My new male sub. He calls Me Miss, or Goddess. This suits us both well. I often call him some form of the word "boy" - (My little boy, lucky boy, naughty boy, good boy, etc). I like this as well, but am looking for others. I don't find that boy works for all situations/ moods.

Currently our relationship consists of the distance/ online variety, but we have discussed meeting up in real life. I am also younger than him, so in an offline setting, I am not sure how I will feel calling him 'boy'.

Any suggestions?

First things first. You do not refer to yourself as Me where ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING MUST READ IT. It is sick and twisted, and as such should be used between consenting adults in PRIVATE.

Don't look to other people for some of this stuff. What makes you feel drunk on power and/or what makes you feel happy with him - do that.

Ha!

And here I was thinking 'Damn, for someone so very new, they certainly got the hang of that Me, Myself and I thing really quick!"

I am looking for some suggestions on pet names to call My new male sub....

Any suggestions?

I think .... boy can still work regardless of age as it is more about the feel and mood of the relationship than a chronilogical number. As for any other pet names you might use, I would just let things flow and in time you will find something which fits, most likely quite unexpectedly but definately fitting in the moment and a stayer.

I always thought that practice was lame. But that's just me.

Now I'm hungry!

Thanks! I appreciate that.

I believe it was meant with a sarcastic overtone. The whole caps thing isn't really done here, although it is used on many other fora, I've come to notice. To me it looks quite silly, but not as bad as the whole slash thing S/some P/people use.

This literally made me guffaw, chortle and titter. Twice. :D:D:D

Ditto.

I have a hard time with the whole caps and slash thing, too. I edit as I read (quite bothersome) and so it's actually hard to read some rather intelligent comments when improper capitalization has been used. Now, mind you, I have had an occasion to make improper use of a capitalization or two to make points, but consistently capitalizing Him or You and lower casing i is just hard to read.

I also then worry about the frame of mind of people that need to follow the convention. Shouldn't you feel secure enough in your role and your way of being to follow normal grammar and punctuation so your words are more readily understood? Shouldn't you feel secure enough that you don't have to force a pretense? Shouldn't you feel you are of equal value that "I" can be used when appropriate? Shouldn't one get off a high horse and use "him" when appropriate (and yes I'm snickering at the wording of this last question)?

Sorry for the ramble...I've just long been bothered by the whole thing. Of course, as always, I welcome someone explaining to me why "i" and "Him" should be used (or substitute other appropriate pronouns).

The only time I can somewhat accept it is in a story that frequently switches between viewpoints, upper and lower cases help the reader to follow who the speaker is. That said, a better writer can probably indicate the speaker through other hints.

But in such a post where the OP has clearly stated that she's in the dominant role, the extra labeling with the caps is completely extraneous.

I agree with Netzach in that this is a personal thing between two people. If it were me, I'd find some trait that fits, maybe something he sees as humiliating. Someone else can't pick a name like that. Only someone who knows him, like you do, could choose a name that fits.

When it comes to giving someone a nickname, I don't think gender matters, so you could use bitch, slut, prissy girl, etc. just as easily as boy. And don't limit your choices. Why pick one name when sometimes the situation defines what your submissive should be called.

Mmmmm, buffalo chicken. That's good eating.

I am rather fond of using Toots or lad or even on occasion cock minder. However I'm rarely bound to one name either, whatever name comes to mind or suits the moment is what I tend to use.
