Sorry darlin' , I'm busy Saturday.

LMAO, Mr. McFeely!
Whoo-hoo! I can't wait for significant snow!

Are y'all still cheering the Iggles? (This is where they've given it away the past 3 years... not like it's a tradition, or anything...)

Stay warm!

Why are you hoping for significant snow Lily? Thought you didn't like the cold lol. Are you going to enjoy watching the Iggles break the tradition? How is the golf course treating the cowboys?

welcome to the frosty, grey city....enjoying the most wacked out winter on record?

Haha, not entirely. Although I've experienced worse I suppose. Going from 20ish to 70 degrees was interesting though.. interesting enough to give me a cold as well lol. City isn't too bad though.. I've only seen parts of downtown since my school is there.. but it doesnt compare to NYC. :)

Hi Gang!
To you Gamers & VG - I think that 99% of the games are enjoyed primarily by men... Me, I'd rather chat, read or do an activity in Real Time (cards. puzzles, hike...even watch good TV!)

So, here's a coupla winter questions... When was the last time you went sledding? Made a snow angel? What's your favorite winter memory?

I'm not into video games. Life is a big enough game on its own.
Haven't been sledding in 15+ years. Used to go with the kids when they were little.
No snow angels since college. <sigh> Now you got me remembering the sweet young angel who joined me at that.
Favorite winter memory is making love with a beautiful young woman, in the snow, wrapped up in my extra-large fleece-lined overcoat together.

Other than that the best time I had in the winter was backpacking in the catskills in January. We spent a few days on a frozen lake, napped a lot, snowshoed some, tracked a lynx one day in snow.
Are you sure it was a lynx? I didn't think that we had them in any eastern state.

may i suggest the south side as a fun/inexpensive area to hang out, eat, get drinks, and be entertained....also some interesting architechture (if you are into that)

All things that I'm interested in actually. I've heard good things about it.. but my roommate never wants to venture out of the house that often, and I've been so busy settling in I haven't had much of a chance to bond with new friends outside of classes.

i guess it all depends on your sense of adventure....

but if you have just gotten to town recently, then you still have lots to discover.....

my personal favorite of the day....the way all the old folks freak out when the weather girl mentions snow....therebye draining the grocery stores of eggs, milk and bread, and the hardware stores of salt and other snow removal products (like they are actually going to remove the snow...)

anyway, welcome to the party

Haha, yeah the weather isnt particularly inviting. I live on the top of a hill south of downtown and when it snows I can barely get up to the driveway. Hopefully when things warm up a tad Ill do some more exploring. Thanks for the welcome.

i am familiar w/ that (and describe my living situation similarly)

you might want to mix kittie litter or sand w/ the salt you throw down on the drive way.

Let it snow!

Yahoo! It's starting to look like a winter wonderland!

I Loooove snow. I may not be entirely fond of the cold, but the snow - not ice, not slush, not sleet - is the payoff to enduring the freeze. Besides, it always feels a bit warmer when it snows, due to the insulation. Plus, it's good for the plants (Poor man's fertilizer) and you just can't beat an evening's walk with that special hush of falling snow...broken only by the occasional rattle of muted snowplow chains. Ahh, this is great! You can count on me making a snow angel or two this eve and working on a snow sculpture (rabbit, hedgehog - I only get frustrated trying to create a regular snowman...never did learn how to roll the snow).

NippleFreak - do you still have that extra large overcoat? Sounds like fun!

Kincky - How special to follow a lynx! I know they're around from the Poconos & North, but they're very, very sly. Another plus for snow is the fabulous winter tracks! Once saw a beautiful pattern of mouse prints that ended abruptly with the sweep of feather tips to each side and an imprint of a tail... magical!

NJ - Yeah, I'll watch 'em Iggles, I'm just not giving them my heart as it has too many 'green' scars from past hopes that have been dashed by over-confident, sloppy playing. An all-PA Super Bowl would be fun, so would an Eagles vs Patriots game. We'll see.

Men - who among you has actually written your name (in yellow) in the snow? Gals, ever try it? Even just abstract art?

Have fun, all! I'll check back later to add some more enthusiastic snow play!

The overcoat met its demise through my ex-wife. She must've noticed the special glint in my eye whenever I looked at it. (She definitely was NOT one for any kind of sex, much less outdoor sex.)

I never wrote my name in snow using the method that you suggest. Any women on here want to supervise while I master that fine art?

just saying hey to all of ya'll freezing back home and playing in the snow while im wait im on a comp when it is 70 degrees outside . Be safe and stay warm up there.
