I Need Three more Fives!!!

Hi And Happy Friday!
Hope Everyone has big plans for the weekend.
I need to get three more votes of five (5) for these two poems to get 'H's, so if your so inclined to please go and vote! But if your not going to vote a five then PLEASE do not bother to vote I only need 5's or it will fuck it all up

Philly - stop scaring the guests! Act like a nice host & show nothing but manners for the first three posts. *giggle*

The rest 'o you - you're breaking my heart to see you backing the Eagles heart & soul.... my mantra - "Those who do not remember history are condemmed to repeat it" This from a local (Lower Bucks "Hi to Hellbaby!") gal who has seen the Iggles lose it in the clinch waaaay too many times. Y'now, like when it looks like a sure thing....?

I'll be here later to nurse you through all your broken hearts. And I won't even say "Told you so" but once or twice!

Thanks to all you fine peoples who have given me friendly nudges.... Am feeling better & I hope to stop by for a real chat, soon, but the elves are on strike again!

Um, the 1976 Flyers, the '93 & '94 Dallas Cowboys and the '95 & '96 Atlanta Braves.
Traditionally, I root for Dallas for football, no-one for baseball, Celtics for Basetball &...what other sports are there? Oh yeah, Secretariat in horse racing.

stop begging for votes, that is tacky. just let your words speak for themselves and if they speak well people will find them and vote. besides everyone gets an 'H' next to their name for the first week or so when it is on top then you fade into lit history. lit history has some awesome work hidden in it

Iggles vs Dallas

Congrats, Iggles fans!
Looks like the Philly team believes in a long, slow, delicious build-up of torturous hope before smashing your collective faces in the astroturf. Shame, the Iggles won't have a chance to teach you humility in time for our Jan 8th round-up and I'll have to look at all y'all's smug faces. (Me, I'm not bitter)
Okay, okay, I'm a sports dilletante, jumping in to make trouble where I don't belong...but isn't razzing the home team also a Philly expectation - whether they do well or not??

So, everyone ready for the holiday? Me. trees are finally up and decorated, the house it lit like...well a fricking Christmas tree!, 90% of presents bought & wrapped and I'm finally out of my blues. Whew! It's been a hellish coupla weeks.
Thanks to those who checked in on me whilst I was scarce - I appreciate the support, esp from such new friends. Just my 1st Christmas since the separation & while I anticipated my kid's difficulties, I was surprised at my own. Add in a bunch of regular life stuff, the stress of providing a Norman Rockwell Holiday & I blew a fuse and needed to disconnect from Lit's fun & games for a bit. (Except for running into the room wagging my finger at Philly & trying to talk some sports sense into youse Iggles guys.) Enough of *sob* story. Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Uh, no. Still don't know if we're having family over Christmas eve or not...Ahh!. If we don't get that together tomorrow it's going to be a train wreck. Also need to get tree. We are just not in the spirit this year. Earlier we were talking about moving Christmas onto an every-three-yeear schedule. It seemed like a really good idea.

Bamagirl - I have to second your curves too. They look good from here.

Yes! Or even every four years...like the Olympics! We could do different sections of the country for different years...No more family hassles (3 states to be in one day)...one could really gear up for it...I like it!

Still waiting for my schedule for next year. Should have it by Wed. night. I'll have a better idea if I can make it on the 8th . I hope I can be there as I enjoyed our last get-together. The one great thing about this weather is that the skies are crystal clear. If it's dark where you are and you can stand the cold for a minute, go take a look at the stars. It almost makes me feel full of holiday spirit. Pretty close anyway.
