Spec Ops
Ah, hell. He vaguely came to the realization that that had been his favorite phrase. He put his hand over Crystal's mouth quickly and pulled her back against him to silence her. If she was any louder the entire ship's population of mutants would come and eat them for lunch. Dinner? Midnight snack? Yes, his internal clock told him it was somewhere around midnight now. He leaned down and whispered in her ear:
"Quiet. We don't want to die quite so soon."
He released her and stepped back. He looked over at the other woman whose name he coudn't recall. He tilted his head slightly. Odd. At any rate, he knew her enough to say that she was the assistant medical officer. He glanced around. Nothing interesting in this room. It was just an empty storage room, devoid of any real light and with a few scraps of cloth on the ground. He looked back at the two women.
"We need to get back to the bridge. The rest of the group is up there. As for Dan..." he looked at Crystal specifically. "I'm not sure he made it."
He glanced down at his belt and noticed the communicator there. He remembered turning on the spare ones the others should still have. He pulled it off his belt and tossed it to Crystal.
"Try and get the others on the line. They should be listening." he kneeled down, picked up a scrap of cloth, and cleaned the blood off his knives while he waited. He looked them over before returning them to their places. He noticed the small asian women moving over to him. He stood and looked at her. Had this been any other situation, he would think she was rather pretty under all the grime. But this wasn't any normal situation, and he wasn't thinking that.
"Yes?" he asked.
