does anyone else drink this stuff? here in portland your really cool if you drink pbr.. at least so it seems..but when people from other places come here they think its really funny that we have it in every bar..

im going to drink one now.

There's a guy in FL who wrote a song about "Vitamin P"... if I can find the lyrics, I'll post 'em for ya. :D

I've never tried it, myself.

Heinekin? HEINEKIN??? Fuck that shit!!! .....

I don't drink it myself...I am a Bass beer girl.

But I was on vacation, at this bar with friends, and this snotty little thing wanders up to the bar next to me and orders a 'pbr special.' So I ask what a prb is...she rolled her eyes at me and did this little head twitching thing as she explain through clenched teeth, Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Okay it was more funny at the time...ya had to be there.

Ahhhh! Good old PBR! The stuff always sucked in cans or bottles but it wasn't half-bad on tap for "regular" beer. This is the stuff that Moose Lodges (amongst others) all over the country live on! lol PBR used to be the standard bar tap beer in New England years ago.

i understand..ive caught myself doing the same at my bar.. only minus the snotty part.. i just assume everyone knows what a pbr is.

Pabst Rue Blibbon Special should NEVER be confused with mere PBR, Bass beer girl. If you were more aware of your american beers you'd know that. :D

whats the special?

There used to be a large brewery in NJ near the freeway, I don't know if its there anymore. Maybe that's the source of all that "New England" PBR.

How about Narragansett? LOL.

Is Dixie beer still around?

Well yuh, but what I said was actually a line from a movie called Blue Velvet. The full line is "Heinekin?? HEINEKIN??? Fuck that shit!! PABST BLUE RIBBONNNN!"

wheres here?

Where Pabst originated.

The local Pabst farms are being developed into an industrial park right now, and there's a Pabst mansion a quarter mile down the road.

I even grew up with Augie. He was an ass.
