Overly Addictive Games

I've just lost ten hours of my life to a videogame.. It's almost scary.. The game is Diablo 2.. I had it installed on my comp last year, and I played it a LOT.. So I uninstalled it after a while, because it took up too much of my time.. Well.. I lost it in the mess that was my room, and a week ago when I cleaned my room I found it again.. I started playing yesterday.. and today.. And I think I know what I'm gonna be doing with most of the rest of the month (especially V-Day) now. Are there any games that you can just lose yourself in like that? Or am I just a freak?

I'm a recovered D2 and Starcraft addict. I used to play those games all day every day. Blizzard doesn't make bad games. Warcraft 3 will be out later this year *drool* The other game I played was the ever popular counter-strike. Then I got some viruses on my comptuer and my lag has gotten to bad to play

I have however, gotten into some PS games, locking myself in my room for days on end. I won't tell you which ones, they're girly, you'd tease.

ive played D2 for a long time.**** game..if u dont mind the click click click click clit click click..well you get the idea

if you're into games...i suggest Everquest...yea it costs $10 a month to play..but it will keep you busy..and there are some interesting aspects about it...the graphics are very advanced..and feature fantasy-related creatures...like elves...both male and female...the females ones are..just..well....daaaaamn...so theres a possibility of kind role play cyber sex thing to it..if you're into that thing...but make sure you know the person your with...i played this game for 2 years...and most the poeple i know that played this game..which were guys...played girl characters...so yea

As to everquest.. Tried it and didn't really get into it.. I'm a hardcore diablo fan, always have been, savin up money for the expansion... praying that there'll be a D3

I haven't bought the latest yet, but I used to be a Civilization player. It was a great escape, & a great stress relief to be able to control the government, military, science, religion, entertainment, economy....just take total control of the world, or the neighboring world. Total control is the antidote for the helplessness that causes stress.


By the way Moridin187, you're not a freak, I lose myself in in my favorite game, besides, you have exquisite taste in general board participants. I'll remember you.

Here's a sure fire way to cure a D2 addiction. Wait until you are two waypoints away from the final scene in the expansion pack and then let your husband do a complete sweep and reload on the computer. I lost everything.

I can barely stand to look at the CD, much less put it in.

You need to try Tropico man. You get to be an island dictator. You can be a benevolent dictator, pay your people well, bring your little island nation into glorious civilization..

Or you can crush them in your gauntleted hand, put them under military rule or call an inquisition..

I did the same thing soon after we bought our son Nintendo 64. Super Mario Bros. and I were having a ton of fun, until my husband came downstairs at 4am, saying "what the fuck are you doing?"

If it helps any, I had a lvl 63 barb on b.net and I lost him due to inactivity...

I've already got my necromancer up to level 25 and my amazon up to level 17 though...

Hey, nothing says that being a chick excludes you from the possibility of videogame addiction. Hell, in D2 one of the favored classes is the Amazon.

I play a Barbarian too, occasionally the Druid, only because I love the werewolf and werebear abilities. I never got the hang of the Amazon, which is odd, in Diablo I only liked the Rouge.

I have the same problem with the Final Fantasy games, for PS... not the newest one, though, I havn't played it yet and don't have PS2...

I was always a barb up until now.. I'm finding that I rather enjoy the necro though.. The Amazon is kind of akward for me, I sucked with the rogue as well.. I haven't gotten the expansion pack yet.. I'm kinda looking forward to trying out the assassin and the druid once I get it though

I have an 83 barb and an an 85 necro on normal.... i got really stoned an sorta broke my LoD cd..... (gotta get my backup copy from my friend).... i never could get into a game hardcore like that..... 2-3 weeks of cow levels and chaos runs and its really just not fun anymore... the trading system on realm is messed. soj's act as currency and everything good is duped.... its not fun its a waste of time, D2 is a great game alone but its almost an exact copy of the first game... there will be no diablo 3 unless blizzard decides to make up more badguys... you cant really kill diablo more than twice now can you?

besides. if you check out Blizz's site they've announced a new warcraft/diablo MMORPG (Massivly multiplayer online roleplay game.) so im fairly certain diablo wont be around for a trilogy. but the new game World of warcraft looks amazing... and leave it to blizz to blow everquest outa the water.

I am a huge Sims addict. Its fun to build, buy,a nd control their meger little lives. Its fun to watch them fool around in bed but its even better to get a married character involved with someone else and watch the drama unfold. Plus usinh all the neat little programs to allow you to create your own items is fun.

Several months ago and thanks to our own Kymberley, I used to be addicted to "Bin Ladin's Liquor" PC game. Fortunately, I've gotten over it long enough to create another addiction.

Back in 1996, my Mom and I came to California to visit my sister and her family in Anaheim. Everyday of our stay (several hours a day) I got hooked on my niece/nephews "DOOM II" PC game. When I got back home in New Orleans, I found the game on one of our work computers where we would write the police reports. Again, I got hooked on "DOOM II". Now 3 years later, I managed to find a website where I was able to order all 3 of the "DOOM" versions. Once again, I'm hooked. Just not as much as I used to be.

Before that, I was addicted to "Tomb Raider III" but I kept killing her off. So I stopped playing.
