Interesting... there was a woman in the lesbian coming out group I used to attend who was a post-op MTF. She had to fight very hard even to get access to the group, in fact, because it was held in a women's center that took some convincing before they accepted transpeople. So m_elise, if it helps, there may not be many people who are in a similar position to you, but you're not alone.

To all the straight guys who think it's so cute to say that you're a lesbian trapped in a man's body? You aren't. You don't have a clue what that reality is like. It's not a cute thing to say. It's subtly but deeply, deeply sexist.

It is indeed. The real world doesn't let you pick and choose when and how you will present yourself - you are you, 24/7. For better or for worse.

I guess I'm just ignorant, but I've never heard of this (aside from springer, that is). I had no idea that a person born as a man could want to physically be a woman as well as be with them. It does sound strange to me, but only because it's new to me (I hope). I'm glad your surgery seems to have gone well and I wish you the best of luck! I hope you find supportive friends here at Lit!

Dallas, when you realize from a very early age that the parts don't match the brain identity (age 4-5), the difficult part is trying to grow up and lead a normal male life feeling damned if you do and damned if you don't! Sooner or later conflict is going to catch up with you. Ironically, I was always to frightened to do much crossdressing, etc. This wasn't a clothes/exhibitionist thing for me. Not to worry...most people don't have a strong reference in this. Springer certainly doesn't help! Thanks for taking the time to write!
