"On the Job" Story Event 2022

In Mature, I just saw the stories for the On the Job Challenge, and it looks like the date has already gone by. I thought we had from April 18th to the 25th to submit. I didn't read where the dates had changed.
I don't think anything has gone by yet.

Thanks, Keith I guess I'll keep writing. And I'll just have to hope that I can still submit.

Upon review, I see that my story will probably be categorized in cross-dressing rather than gay male.

Just submitted mine. Anna and the Librarian. Set predominantly in a library (in case you hadn't guessed). I just hope the could of scenes in the MC's student digs don't exclude me, as the main pretext of the work is about that unexpected relationship in the library and where that leads Anna. Fingers crossed.

My story "Trusted Employees - On The Job" about a Corporate Holiday Party is in draft and ready to post in Loving Wives. I decided I'll take the hits from those trolls and see if I can elicit the worst comment ever! But I'll wait another day or two before posting in case I decide to add or change anything in it.

I’ve submitted my first but might have been a bit ambitious promising two. I’m off to a good start but not sure I’ll make deadline.

Starting to get nervous - submitted on 4/3, it's 4/10 and still pending.
The actual posting date(s) is(are) a little hazy in the instructions, but I don't think the first posting of stories will be before 18 April. Maybe not until 25 April.

Okay, put me down for a Mind Control and maybe a Fetish... right up against the deadline. I live on the edge, I guess!

If your pending story says "new" next to it, it has been accepted and will be published on 18th April

Ah, that's the thing - it still says "pending" with the date I submitted. My Activity also says "You have successfully submitted a story."

It'll go up, I'm just nervously glancing at it every day.

It's going up on the 18th. There's no reason to hyperventilate about it not being up yet.

I know how you feel. I am pretty sure if it's got a date on it that says 4/18 or something like that but it's still in 'Pending', I think you're gonna be fine.
All the best and I look forward to reading your entry. :)

I clicked the commit button yesterday for my Loving Wives 7,500-word story "Trusted Employees - On The Job".

Even the trolls need their entertainment. Bring it on!

Besides, if one is in the right frame of mind and one knows what's coming, it can also be entertaining for the author.

I clicked the submit button for my cross-dressing one, "The Scoop," just now. Is the job given garbage man or reporter? We'll have to wait to see.

I crashed the site a few times, and my computer, but have posted 4 of the 5 chapters of my story. EC, E/V, and two group sex, FWIW.
Never posted in GS before. Or E/V. The excitement!

Submitted "The Offering Cup" five minutes ago. It's set entirely in a downtown law firm's office over several years, as we follow one legal secretary at the firm and how she handles a select group of attorneys at the firm who like to use her for particular types of in-office stress-relief.

Interestingly enough, mine sat there for a few days saying pending. I went into the submission today, saw the story had been rendered, and when I came back out the submission said NEW with a date of 18 April. I guess that's just how it works when stories are to be published on a later date... or maybe it was pure coincidence.

Yes, that's how it works for themed contests and "date starts" writing exercises.

Yes, NEW and a date means it's been accepted and will be automatically published on that day - 7 or 8am for me, so I assume midnight in some part of America.
I now have four chapters listed as New with dates of the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st, and just sent the fifth one in.

No idea how it will go down as the story crosses categories, but it's not structured enough to be a novella (more like the first story arc of a novel) and N&N gets very few readers. I've put a few warnings in, culminating with "if you only want to read vanilla heterosexuality, stop, try my stories Into the Woods and Homesick Halloween instead, and ignore this and all my other stories, and we'll both be much happier."
