Objects in the Rear View Mirror

I'll go more literal with this once since I haven't been here much lately while recovering from whiplash and other aches after being rear-ended a few weeks ago. Totally intense to see him coming in my rear view mirror and opt to brake to prevent hitting the car in front of me. Bless my chiropractor for doing a great job and a big thanks to the auto shop who repaired my older vehicle instead of it having to be totaled. Pretty bummed to have to be the one to teach that high school student this harsh lesson. His dad's Volvo was a total loss.

So yesterday I'm waiting to turn off a small highway onto a country road and here came a motorcycle up my ass. Dude! I just got this beast out of the shop are you really gonna bite it now?! By pulling forward and cranking a hard left I was able to prevent it but it got to the point of seeing only his helmet in my rear view mirror. The move made me overshoot my turn and I had to back out some to avoid the ditch. Luckily no one was coming the other way.
