Actually my tan is a bit silly, after much cycling, walking, use of flip-flops and so on. I managed to a bit of an even-up on the beach towards the end, but I do have a startlingly white arse...

One of my favourite places we stayed was way south, very hot, and we spent an entire evening outside naked in an utterly un-overlooked terrace after a long day of physical exertion. Unfortunately the long day of physical exertion precluded any sort of outdoor filthiness, but it was wonderfully liberating all the same.

One disappointment of the trip was the complete lack of private balconies. I like a private balcony, as you know...

Yes, I do recall. Such a pity, but there's always further opportunities on future trips. Hopefully remembering all of that sun and such will make the coming winter all the easier to contend with.

The other one to watch out for is the old 'light on in the room, dark outside' thing - a net curtain becomes pretty transparent in the dark if you leave the light on in the room.
