Now I've gone and done it....

My short sweet little entry, blossomed into a monsterous 88 pages last night....

Either, I went on the writing binge from hell or there was more to this story than met the eye.... Now to edit and find a few places to break it into parts.... how many Word pages equal a Lit page???? anyone got any idea???? Man!!!

I probably should shelve this monster until a later date and try for a shorter story for the contrest..... Time is running out....

Txrad, blummin'eck! that's alot of pages... in my works word processor one lit page is coming on for four word pages...possibly a touch more...

22 lit pages is a little much for anyone to read through at one sitting.... Maybe i can find a few points to break it up but I did that once before and although the comments were good the vote was sadly lacking for the first part.... Great for the second part but to few to make it into the monthly runoff....

Well, back to the grind and see what else the old brain can churn out that's a wee bit smaller....

Tx, Most of mine are in the 12 page area and I think for the most part they're 2 Lit pages long....so my word processor--using 1 inch margins and 12 point font--has about 6 pages to one lit page...or there about.

I get that alot. That's okay though, stretching things out a bit never hurt anyone. Permanently.

Longer stories never hurt, either.....Tx, I'd break that thing up into about 3 or 4 parts and submit it...still gonna have chapters with like 4 or 5 Lit pages to them, but it'll be a little more manageable...

Shit, that reminds me, I have five stories to finish and about 85 to start.

I'm gonna get a jump on that before this good mood fades....

Crap. ANother story idea.

Three story authors are sitting in a little diner, trying to come up with ideas for stories to write for a particular contest. One has some pretty interesting ideas and the other two shoot the first down saying that it's too unrealistic and stuff like that never happens....sex on tables in restaurants, etc.

Through a natural progression of what the characters have done in public in the past, sex is had in the middle of the diner with little or no attention being brought to the trio....that or a whole lot of attention and then police show up....

why not both? first the sex is below table level - handjobs, blowjob, etc. Then when it blossoms on the table top, someone calls the cops. When the sargent finds out they are Lit writers she says " Shoot, I learned 101 uses for handcuffs reading Lit..."

I use 1/2 inch margins and 12 font so 88 divided by 6, carry the one.... uh, that still 16 pages.... breaking it up is the way to go... now if I can just find a few places to do it..... and break the story too.....

Thanks for the info or I would have dumped the monster on there whole hog....and drowned several people....

Ok, just uploaded two stories for the contest... my first by the way.. contest that is....now to sit back and wait for the votes to pour in.... well, maybe not but here's hoping....

I'm still trying to break up the monster story and haveing very little luck....

Question....
How big of a story goes in the Novela cat. or should it be broken up there also... so much to learn and so little time... I should have started writing earlier in my life....

Txrad...I think you can put the whole thing in the novella category, but you won't get many reads, simply 'cos it's not comfortable to read many pages on a monitor

I'll save the monster for later when I have more time to break it up and do it right.... I hate to rush good things..... Anyway, I'm at work on a drilling rig and they're trying their best to burn the damn thing down... the same company already has one well on fire about 30 miles from here.....

EL, you need to get to writing.. a half paragraph ain't goin to cut it, as we say down here in the little land of Texas....

I might also get the second Lou-inspired story started/done and/or work on the English Lady/Lady Jeanne inspired story that's been floating around in the old noggin for 6 months or better now.
