Saturday night. Xander on his way out with the buds, to his favorite bar.
Live music, good brewskies and pleasant company. All fine and well, and all something tried before. UNTIL.

Around 11 pm, a girl I haven't seen since high school come strolling in.
Here I might add I had the biggest crush on her, but she always ignored my nerdy, outcast, high school self, back then.

Which only made my surprise even bigger when she eyes me, and walks directly to my seat and falls around my neck.
Hugging me tightly, saying she has missed me and I'm one of the few people from high school she has thought a lot about, these past years. Then continues to introduce me to all her new friends. All while I must have looked like a fish out of water. Not being able to say anything.
All in all, I ended up making out with a girl I never thought I would ever lay my hands on.
I asked her why she suddenly thought I was the most desireable being in the bar, and why she had ignored me in High school, if that was how she had felt.
She just shrugged, kissed me one more time, and disappeared.

I didn't see her again. Probaly never will again. I have no idea where she lives now.
But it was weird. I tell you, very weird.
At least I got to kiss my high school dream girl.

I went to a class reunion recently and I was amazed that the people who wanted nothing to do with me in school, were trying to be all chummy with me now? I know what you're gettin' at.

Bad timming

Dude!! Don't you know you weren't supposed to ask that till the next morning?
Dammit wish I hadn't gone to a private school no high school ruinions for me:(

You know Wolfy, I didn't even get a chance to go THERE. But you're probaly right. Bad timing.

BTW, it wasn't a high school reunion. It just happend at my favorite bar. And it was the first time I ever saw her there.

"Back roads of your mind."

Xander,

Very interesting post. We all have our "What ifs." Yours just became vivid. She will always be on the "Back roads of your mind."

You know something like that happened to me awhile back. This guy from my junior High School saw me at the mall like two years ago and walked up to talk with me. The thing is he thought I was somebody else that he knew! He kept talking with me and I kept telling him "I'm not that guy" but he just kept going like "Yeah right stop joking, I know it's you" so I gave up and just played along. When he finished talking he told me to say hi to my sister(I don't have a sister!)and left to do whatever. Never saw him again after that but it still has to be one of the weirdest things to ever happen to me.

You know Ezzy, if I'm not at home or at work. That would be the place to find me.
I always hang out there. And behold, in a short time even all of you can see it. owner want to put in webcams in the bar. So now you can all see how foolishly I act during weekends.
Just don't hold it against me okay :)

Look on the bright side, Renegade sweetie, he didn't try to kiss you!

eerie things...

Back in the 70's I was walking in the city I was living in, with a friend of mine.
He had just comented about what a great day it was weather wise, and how sexy the girls looked in their summer wear.
He joked about how fantastic it would be to turn the corner and have a naked woman run up to him, and throw herself into his arms.

Yup you guessed what happened when we turned the corner, there running along the pavement towards us was a streaker, natural blonde (if you know what I mean).

My friends chin dropped and his arms started to rise, but she ran past us and into the arms of a policeman.

The rest of the day he just had to keep wishing for other things to happen, none of which ever did.

As a pair of youths it had made our day none the less.

Ps I hope you play your music when you're at the bar, I enjoyed the music you put on the site.

I have been known to grap a guitar there, once in a while.
So yes I do play at the bar. But usually only when no one else wants to :)

Ezzy, that story or yours reminds me of that one part from the movie Dogma:

Jay: Hey guys like us just dont fall out of the sky!

*Rufus the angel falls from the sky*

Jay(yelling): NAKED BIG TITTY WOMEN JUST DONT FALL OUT OF THE SKY!

Sorry, just had to say that.:)
