You know sometimes life just SUCKS!!!

Tomorrow morning my family and I are supposed to go on a road trip to visit my folks in NJ. I even bought tickets to The Producers in NY and reserved a hotel room there for a night because my wife loves the city.

Last night, we're driving around, and my wife asks me if I know what she's really looking forward to on this trip. When I said no, she said "Going Home".

I could understand it if it was just one time, but I swear this woman has become convinced we should never have any fun in life. Any time we start to plan something, from a trip to Disney World, down to just a little outing, she comes up with reasons not to go.

So now we're going on a trip, so that we can fight the entire time.

We've been married almost 20 years and frankly I'm about sick and tired of it. But, I have a 17 year old daughter. My folks divorced when I was 12 and I swore I wouldn't do that to my kid.

Don't really know why I'm writing this, guess I just had to vent somewhere.

My dad hated to travel. I always used to listen with envy, coming up, to my friends' accounts of going on summer vacation trips. We never went anywhere. I can remember three trips we took, in my whole life. There were periods in his life when he had to do a lot of business travel, but of course they were no fun for him.

i so hated traveling with my husband. i have to admit i was a total bitch. .. i know that probably doesnt help you but i do have to think maybe slick is on to something..
pressure/stress makes people shits sometimes...

glad you vented, its better than other things you could do with anger. ive got a strong shoulder.. and the people here couldnt be more supportive.

Yeah, I'm not sure which is worse. Having one that won't go, or having one that gets to be a martyr for a week and half.

And, yeah doll, I'd love to take you anywhere and everywhere.

Anytime I go anywhere it's either just me, or me and the kids.

Sometimes I like it that way.

Of course, I have to face his resentment when I get home.

Coffee is key. Without coffee, most of us would likely die. Hope Brazil doesn't figure that out anytime soon and start holding it for ransom.

I was playing a little trivia in a Pyramids room the other evening, and it came up that coffee is the second largest commercial commodity worldwide, only oil is larger. (At least, when the trivia questions were compiled, which was fairly recently I believe.)
