I received a mysterious note saying that I had a package to pick up, and so I did. It turns out I had won a contest I had forgotten I had participated in - "Send in your most romantic dating-suggestion". I've won 2 tickets to "50 First Dates", a CD with the music from the movie, a one-time-use-only camera, and a T-shirt that is orange and 2 sizes too small.:)

Hey, congrats, Flicka....

If anyone had asked me as recently as yesterday if I believed in god I may have hemmed and hawed and gone into theology. I even might have spoken of my faith in a god like entity while still questioning the existence of a God who could bring on so much pain and still create a sunset beautiful enough to bring tears to my eyes. However ask me today and the answer would be an unequivocal yes. Last night my wife fell, an event that may not seem life altering except for the fact that she’s nearly six months pregnant, She slipped in the bathroom and hit the tile floor hard. I couldn’t breathe when I went in and saw her laying there her head had just barely missed the tub but she appeared fine. Still I demanded that she join me in a visit to the emergency room. Both mother and baby are fine, and I ‘ve got a whole new take on God and prayers

Oh, Des - a hug for you and Renza both!

That's so scary when stuff like that happens - at this point your whole life is already revolving around this little person not yet seen.

Someone definitely watches over expectant moms.

Lol and I thought I was fearless. :D

Well des, that calls for a *phew*. Glad to hear everyone's fine.

Priorities change.

You may still be fearless for yourself, but realizing that you're responsible for another life - totally - puts a whole new spin on things.

I'm a completely different person than I was before I had kids.

Oh I'm not at all fearless I was being facetious. My fears revolve around Renza Ma and Baby J now ;) In any event I believe what you say I'm already changing, and not nearly as quick to fly off the handle.

On a slightly different note I spilled coffee on my suit jacket because I was jostled in the elevator:rolleyes: (by jostled I mean someone pinched my ass and I jumped.) Any ways now I have on a black skirt and a "Jesus doesn't love you he's only trying to get you into bed T-shirt." That's all just a random look into my day

sounds great to me. I sleep in the buff :D

:D That's another one of those things that changes when you have kids - especially if they're boys, and prone to crawl into bed with you in the middle of the night.

Do!!!

Course, with girls it's not as big an issue, but boys are extremely curious about why they have stuff you don't.:)

Just don't go too soft - kids need discipline. M is the strictest mother I know, and her son is the most harmonius and happy kid I know. She locks him into his room when he's bad, and she buys him presents when he doesn't expect any. He's growing up to learn that if you're good, good things happen to you out of the blue, and if you're bad, you'll be very sorry.

(And if you're bad to M, you'll be much more than just sorry...)
