Well, i am not in the mood to fight with you. We all have our opinions. To me, someone asking if he had kicked the bucket was ultra rude. As Zip said, you really coulda been more respectful. I wasn't intentionally attacking you, your comment really rushed all over me. Art was a very close friend. A very kind, gentle, and loving man.

I too was unaware of Artful's passing, and I've never seen Lance use anything that wasn't tongue in cheek as his signature before (not that there's anything wrong with that), so I also assumed that some sort of joke was afoot.

i am sorry that your friend passed away....death is a really sucky thing....but it's really ridiculous to get your feathers ruffled about a comment made by someone who doesn't know you or the person that died....didn't realize there had been an actual death.....and assumed it was some Lance joke reference.....about a forum character i am aware of....but know nothing of....other than he had a relationship with Dream.....

had i been aware of Artful's passing....i definitely would not have made that comment sooooo that i didn't offend anyone that cared about him.....but when you take away personal attachment to a situation.....expressions like "kicked the bucket" are common and widespread and normally not intended to be rude......"Has Bob Hope kicked the bucket yet?"

Seeing that it was quickly ascertained that people don't hate you, the next part was about why people start threads about you. Then there was a little flaming and assorted posted about you.

I'm okay with compromising and calling it the Lance Potpourri Thread.

No, actually, PB, that's not the reason I rather don't like Lance. I rather don't like Lance because of his predilection for sexually attacking women on the board when he's losing the argument.

I do not like Lance because he sexually attacked me.

Anything else would have been just one of those things, but that's not what he did.

You were there, bud bud. You watched him repeatedly and with malice sexually attack women who did not agree with him and do not bend to his will.

Then he had the gross bad manners to PM me about a rape thread, reach some sort of amicable truce, and then turn around and sexually attack me again. He never apologized, he never acknowledged that he did it, he never did anything remotely human in that regard. Which would all be water under the bridge and forgotten but for two things. 1) I actually had to ask him to quit attacking me sexually and 2) he attacks other females around here sexually without thought.

I'm no angel in all of this either. I don't expect an apology or anything. What I do expect is to be treated with a modicum of respect due to every person who types a word in this place. There is no such thing as mutual respect to Lance. The only thing he will accept is a bowing down and kissing of his ass.

The only way Lance will ever get my respect again is if Lance publicly proves that he can provide mutual and equal respect to even the people he considers his good friends.

And if you'd go back and read that thread, PB, you'd see that I was arguing asshole's side, not cym's.
