This is interesting. The nipple :p attachment and the hardcore :nana: attachment have both been deleted while the link is undisturbed. It is also strictly soft core. :confused:
 
It appears that attachments are being deleted while links are left alone and pics posted directly on the thread are also left alone. Let's try some more experiments:

Okay, it's 2:11 so it has been three hours and no change.
It's 3:08 now and no change. Almost four hours.
I don't know how long ago this happened but I see that only one attachment remains. Of the previous group that was decimated, the only one remaining is a pic of just breasts. The one remaining here is also just of one breast.

We had a discussion here last summer about data base capacity and disappearing pics. The current number of stored attachments as indicated by the attachment index ID (i.e., https://forum.literotica.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=579470 for Boxlicker's Roanna2.jpg) still only represents 58 Gb of stored pics, but the number of pics is growing awfully fast (15% in 4 months), so maybe Lit is cleaning up for technical reasons. They've done it before.

Is it better to upload images to Lit in msgs, or to insert links to sites where images have already been uploaded? As far as time, capacity, bandwidth is concerned?

I mean, are Lit databases overflowing with all our old porn images?

If what you have divined is correct, Reverend, and I hope it is, why don't they eliminate pics on a first in, first out basis?

Well Jim, this is where I'm confused also. I appreciate that there is only so much space available and that periodic cleanups must be performed (mmmm :heart: I love that word)...soooooo delete from the beginning of threads - not from the most recent! There just doesn't seem to be a logic in this madness.

*I'm still confused and have not heard back from Laurel (although - she may be inundated with these types of requests and is ignoring all)*.

I believe the Rev has something here... everyone who is having a problem should look at their attachment folder and see how many files they have stored. If there is an over abundance of files you might want to try and delete some of the oldest files that you have, which would make room for the newer images you want to post.

It's kind of like filling a cup with water... the cup can only hold so much. If you keep pouring more water in the cup once its full, the water at the top is going to spill out first. Give it a try and see if this helps relieve your problem.

Let's see if these stick around for a while.....
