new writter!

Well, I have to say this threads a bust so far. :D

Welcome aboard, so to speak. Been writiing and posting a while now, but am pretty new to this venue.

I look forward to reading your works.

By the way... if those pics are you.... YUM!

Nothing personal....but chat and posts are the last place i worry about spelling and grammar.... they are more about getting the raw thoughts out, not the polished ones we put to the world to read.

Just my humble opinion......

Who are we then if not part of the world?

Cool. Wait 'til they really roast you. ;)

Boo...that was bad.

Ah, but I must disagree. If you wish to be taken seriously as a writer, you must always present yourself as a writer. That goes for these silly posts.

Something...more

Tip to newbies. Spelling not great? Change your posting options. Lits got spell check, great for those not naturally gifted.

Then again, slip up once on their or there and you're a goner. ;)

Which I stopped doing thanks to Lynn. TY darlin'

We're . . . more than the world? Wow!

You're welcome.

Someone once told me that every time you use "there" instead of "they're" to mean "they are" a kitten dies.

Save the kitties!

That thought might work on other forums and chat, and texting. Around here, folks will write in a casual style and even make typos, but some effort does have to be made with grammar and punctuation, like it or not. And I say that as a prime offender.

And ... welcome. :)

Hmmm...the way I heard it was a pussy dies...now that's truly horrible. Save the kittens too. :D

Amy, this will go on as long as it takes for them to find more fresh fish. :D We love you for being a good sport.

Amy, you seem like a nice person. The people on this thread are just kidding with you. You are the new kid on the block. They are pretty nice and will really help you.

One of the biggest gripes the reader have is bad grammer. BS is suggesting that before you post a story, have an editor look at it for corrections. I have 200 stories posted and wouldn't think of posting one without having someone look at it for corrections.

Welcome to the A/H and you are welcome to get naked anytime your little heart desires.

Bust? Bosom?

You rang? :)

Yes Buxxom, it seems Amy is endowed with blessings to rival the legendary shadow you cast. It should be an interesting sight to see you both together.

Could this be the reason for Global Warming? Too many large breasted women casting shadows? An intriguing concept to look at.

Sweet Amy, it's been a while since a noob has joined our midst and come dangerously close to asking The Question. We were just looking for our funtime with you. You're a dear girl and I'm glad you are good with the teasing. We will all most certainly help you with your writing. Enjoy all AH has to offer and get to know all the culpr... I mean great people that are here. Cheers!:rose:

It is entirely possible to have large breasts and a high IQ at the same time.

So sad when folks try to prove otherwise.

not to say my posts are not fully thought out, but ti be honest many times my fingers simply can not keep up with my brain (which is always going at breakneck speed).

This is one place i hoped that i could be taken seriously without having to worry about exactly how, who, what , when, where.... when what i really want to to is relax, share and maybe play.

ps.... thanks for the welcome ;)

Likes this! I've been underestimated so many times, I've lost count.

I read something awhile ago that's sort of related. It said, "Because you have a southern accent, you will always be underestimated. Use that to your advantage."

Oh, believe me, I know the power. I have it, doubled!

I don't quite have your Julia Sugarbaker-like persona, which I adore (and you know it), but I never lack for a sarcastic reply. It's always my one and only New Year's resolution to try not to resort to sarcasm. Lasts about two weeks, then I feel better again. :)

Doesn't work all that well on a writers' board. A writer rarely is posting in the forum to make others decide NOT to read the stories they are posting to the site. Demonstration of substandard writing and thinking skills in a writers' forum isn't likely to attract many readers to the "writter's" stories.

I deal with people of all shapes and sizes, and have learned NEVER underestimate a good looking body. It frequently houses a sharp mind that is every bit as attractive as the package you see outside.

Just the same, if i find a really hot mind inside a really hot body, so much the better.

I dont know the details for you Buxxxom, but the tag indicates an impressive body to go with your obviously impressive mind!

A Southern woman can insult someone, and they won't realize it until an hour later. It comes with the grits we get as baby food. ;)

(and, thank you  )

Not to throw stones, but would a story written and submitted with as many mistakes per word as the original post even be posted?
