Hi,
I'm new on here,.. and "gasp".. I actually wrote a dirty story
and posted it on here.
I was wondering if I may ask some of you pro writers to read it
and give me some feedback, advice, constructive criticism and
help.

Hi Sophia,

Congratulations! Laurel is the editor. She reads all the stories, brave woman. You can PM her if you have a question specific to your story. If it's a general question you should be able to find the answer on the faq or just ask it here at the hangout. Someone (usually not me will know the answer.

As for looking at your story, there's a couple of things you should know about how to encourage readers on the board. First, you need to put a link to it. I looked for it, but couldn't find it. Also, you'll probably get more action on it if you put your request in the story feedback forum since usually all we do in this one is yak.

If you opted for allowing feedback, you'll be in for a treat when it goes through. You'll check your inbox one day and be agast by the replies.

Like jfinn said, you'll get a great deal of constructive feedback by posting in the Story Feedback forum. Most of those who frequent here also contribute there. Don't forget to post a link with your story - you'll be doing yourself a favor.

I must apologize to you. Not because I have to, but because you deserve the apology. I could go on and on about the reasons why I went on a bender Friday. It was Friday? Well. It doesn't matter. Neither do the reasons. There is simply the fact that I did go on a bender and you were one of the people who made a convenient target for my ranting.

Most of the people here haven't been around long enough to realize that ranting is the usual KM mode of communication. I'm rather infamous for it.

I'm also possessed of enough conscience to realize too late that ranting is hurtful to others. How much you were hurt or whether it affected you at all notwithstanding, it wasn't anything you deserved no matter what my opinions are on the issue of feedback.

I am very sorry for taking my temper out on you and I wish I hadn't done it. I would edit the post out, but that doesn't make it go away and it doesn't make it not have happened. The fact is that I did make that post and I can't unmake it. I can only apologize and hope that you are able to shrug off whatever discomfort I might have caused you.
