new, need suggestions

I am new to bondage, my partner likes to take the submissive role. I am shy about "asserting" myself or putting together a role-play for us. One suggestion he made, which I like too, is to post a request for a role-play. In effect, a third (or fourth) party would be directing our activities. That way I don't have to think too much. I am also new to forums . . . is this the place to pose this request?
