“Any ideas as to how to get word to the other two without..uh” He chuckled sarcastically. “without embarrassing them?....Hey..why don’t I just tap on the door lightly and say “Honey, its time to go home..so hurry and finish up. I’ll wait outside.”

He started giggling with pain.

Anne could sense the change in Alan and she kicked herself for opening her mouth, but "Oh well," she hadn't meant to kill the mood, just being realistic.

"Tell you what, we won't say or do anything to them. Usually we'll just enjoy a cup of coffee or something on the veranda and wait for Marie or Wayne to appear, so let's do that."

She grabbed a robe, "I'll go arrange something for us to drink outside, and you get dressed, okay."

"Sounds like a plan," Alan agreed. He watched her leave and slowly got dressed, wanting to give Marie her time, but also wanting to leave.

He moved off into the kitchen, and then followed Anne outside. The cool early morning air hit his skin as it did Anne's.

"Let's just sit here, and I'll tell you abit about me... I remember you asked what I liked and made me tick so I'll do that until Marie comes out, sound like a plan?"

"Yes, it does and a nice one at that," he replied.

Anne told him a bit about herself, she had been born in Ohio, and had met Wayne in college. Though they had discussed having kids, neither one wanted them right away and then after awhile they both admitted they liked this life, and not being tied down with kids, besides if they change their minds there is still time.

She continued to tell him, about her hobbies of painting and web design. "I also enjoy collecting fine china. If you guys ever decide to come back over here, I'll show you some of my paintings.... if your into that sort of thing."

As Alan and Anne sat enjoying the quiet morning and the sounds of crickets and the occasional hoot of an owl, they each quietly reflected on the nights activities, each taking something from the evening to learn about themselves.

“Ohhhh yesss,” she whimpered, as she took his whole cock deeply into her sweet pussy. She began to lift and fall on his thick sex, while he watched his shaft disappear inside hers. Gasps escaped her as his fingers kneaded her ass.

Wayne was having the time of his life, this was more than he could possibly have hoped for and here was this delightfully wanton lady riding him like a cowgirl on a bucking bronc.

He could feel that old familiar stirring, inside himself, he had not climaxed three times in one night for what seemed like forever, and he so loved her ass, it was shapely, firm yet not hard and so inviting. As Marie slowed down a bit Wayne put his hands on her hips and urgeing her forward he came up behind Marie on his knees his cock still inside her. then grabbing her hips, he started to slowly push into her.

He continued this slow movement for a bit, and seemed to get approval from Marie her ass in the air her shoulders on the bed, and him behind her on his knees. He also noted the tell tale signs that MArie might be running out of fluid, as her inside was getting a bit dryer, Wayne knew he would either have to climax, or get some lube.

MArie was groaning now into the mattress, but the gradual drying provided extra friction which brought Wayne closer to his own climax, and suddenly he started to pump harder and harder. Just when he thought he would have to stop for her sake he felt it, inside, first his balls tightened, then the feeling spread outward and then he climaxed, not much in terms of volume, but considerable in terms of feeling, the climax seemed to go on for a long time.

He leaned forward his softening cock still in Marie and hugged her from behind, his hands on her breasts, "My dear that was absolutly fantastic, I hope I managed to give some measure of pleasure to you as well?"

By then his erection was pretty much gone and he fell out of her, and gently pushing her over to her side Wayne leaned down and kissed her lightly on the face. "I think I heard Anne doing the coffee."

Marie looked at him with a puzzled look, and he explained, "that is the signal, that either she or he, or both are ready to call it a night, I think we should get ourselves a bit decent and join them. Would you like a quick shower first I could wash your back," he laughed.

Marie grinned wickedly, "Mmmm... as much as I would like that, I don't think we'd get much accomplished, because even though we are both spent, I'd still be willing to try again. I could do this all night, or at least I would want to."

He laughed back at her, then kissed her gently on the lips. Cupping his face in her hands, she whispered, "Thank you. Not just for this, but for meeting me on the Internet, and if nothing happens between us again, this was special and most diffinitely worth it."

She kissed him once more, and went into the bathroom. Running the water till it was warm enough she found a wash cloth and did a quick cleansing, she didn't want to have the scent of their love making on her, when she met up with her husband. A full shower would have removed the smells of sweat and cologne, but at least she could remove the smell of sex.

After rinsing off the soap as best she could with another wash cloth she dried and then met Wayne back in the room, where he was wearing a pair of sweat pants. He helped Marie dress, and placed one more long lingering kiss on her lips.

She held his hand as they walked through the house, "Where are they?" she asked.

"Out on the verandda most likely, one last kiss." He pulled her into his arms and she pressed herself to him gently, then held him tight against her.

"Thank you, again."

She left him, inside as she met up with Alan and Anne as they were heading up the steps. Marie had not been aware that the couple had seen the heated kiss good bye or the passionate embrass.

Coming back inside after saying her goodbyes to the couple, and giving Alan a quick kiss, Anne looked at her husband and said, "my my, that was a passionate goodbye."

Wayne smiled and shrugged his shoulders, his palms open before him, and replied "what can I say, it was good I enjoyed her very much. I trust you had a good time to."

Anne smiled but said nothing about that just now, but then she rarely provided intimate details about her meetings. "Would you want some of that coffee I made, "she asked.

"No I am going to bed, I don't want anything to keep me awake, not that it would, I feel strangely exhausted right now. You have to work this Saturday?"

"I just have to go in after lunch for a few hours and close up, at three or so, why?"

"I just wondered, since your working maybe I will do you something for supper, something special, you coming to bed?"

Anne yawned and said, "I think so yes."

"Okay I will clean up a bit first and be right in."

Almost half an hour later Alan finished putting out the candles putting the cover on the hottub and putting the few dishes away, and Anne was already sound asleep.

As Alan and Anne sat enjoying the quiet morning and the sounds of crickets and the occasional hoot of an owl, they each quietly reflected on the nights activities, each taking something from the evening to learn about themselves.

It was so surreal; his fatigued and heavy body sitting in an unfamiliar place listening to familiar sounds; the doubts, the insecurities, the fears. At one point, as Anne talked, he gave serious consideration to the possibility that it was all a dream, but had enough awareness to know that it was real.

It was a peaceful early morning, and nature was behaving as nature was supposed to behave, with everything seeming to be in its rightful place, except for one creature. He looked at Anne.

"How long have you and Wayne had this kind of relationship? He asked, and before she could answer. "Whose idea was it originally?"

Waiting for an answer, he reflected on something a friend has once told him.

"Be careful what you asked for." He had said. "Because you just might get it."

"I think we can safely check on the lovebirds now." Anne said, politely ignoring his question. They were walking up the steps when they saw Marie and Alan at the top embraced passionately. At the sound, they had parted unaware they had already been seen.

Alan was totally silent during the long drive home.

Marie could tell that Alan was concentrating on the night, was he thinking of Anne, as she was thinking of Wayne? She didn't know, but she did know he was deep in thought over the evening.

When the car pulled into the drive Alan, just killed the engine, opened his car door, slammed it hard and went into the house. Marie sat there, stunned. She had done only want he wanted, and yes, she wanted it to.

Feeling a tear slip from her eye, she gathered her purse and got out of the car. Taking a deep breath, she wiped the tear away. She had done nothing wrong, he had presented this to her. Her stomach hurt, and she realized something... then erased if from her mind, refusing to deal with that unless Alan remembered.

Taking another steading breath, she opened the door to the house and walked in. She laid her purse on the counter and locked the door. Her shoes found their place in the closet and she removed her jewels as she made her way to the bathroom.

She didn't see Alan anywhere in the bedroom when she got there. "Where is he?" she mumbled outloud. Marie called his name as she moved through the house.

Taking the stairs to the next level, she towards the one spare room that was designed for overnight guests. It was closed, so she slowly opened it. Her heart crumbled in her chest, as she saw her husband's form on the bed. He was not asleep, she had known him for years, and she knew how his body moved in slumber.

"Alan, I did nothing wrong," her voice shaky but sure. "Alan..."

He said nothing.

"This isn't fair! I did nothing wrong!"

Tears flooded her eyes and coarsed down her cheeks as she moved to their bedroom and shut the door behind her. She leaned against the door and slid down onto the floor, as she repeated her words to herself, "I did nothing wrong, nothing... I didn't..." the words wracked her body as she soon was overcome with guilt and grief.

Almost half an hour later Alan finished putting out the candles putting the cover on the hottub and putting the few dishes away, and Anne was already sound asleep.

So he decided to send an E-mail to Marie to her password protected box.

Marie;

I cannot express how much I enjoyed this night and you in particular, Alan is a lucky man, no doubt.

I just wanted to thank you and Alan for coming I know Anne enjoyed him as well, and I sincerely hope to meet again in the future. With the exception of Anne herself I cannot ever remember, having such a giving and enjoyable companion.

Sleep well and write soon.

Wayne

Tears flooded her eyes and coarsed down her cheeks as she moved to their bedroom and shut the door behind her. She leaned against the door and slid down onto the floor, as she repeated her words to herself, "I did nothing wrong, nothing... I didn't..." the words wracked her body as she soon was overcome with guilt and grief.

Though not responsive, he heard every word she said, and knew she was wracked with pain, misgivings, and fear. He wanted to get up, take her in his arms, and offer consolation, but he couldn't..he just could not.

"Wrong?" He finally replied in a flat monotone voice. "WRONG!" Tone and volume picking up steam. "Hell, that implies that there's a right." He sat up.

"Of course you did nothing wrong. You just fucked another man all night..thats all. And from the noises I heard, it was some of the best screwing you ever had.

He snickered.

"In fact we both had the best sex of our lives. wouldn't you say? That doesn't seem wrong does it? How can good sex be wrong?"

He stood up and walked toward her stopping within a few feet of her.

"But you know what you had that I didn't?"

Marie looked at him puzzled.

"Its much too late to play riddles." The words spewed from his lips vehemently. "Its called EMOTIONAL INVOLVEMENT!"

He stepped just over her and placed his hand on the door knob.

"If you'll move over, I'll take to sofa. You can have the bed. We'll talk tomorrow."

Standing up, Marie glared at him. "NO! We'll discuss this now, you've never once slept on that couch and your not starting it now!"

She was hurt, but now anger consumed her. "I did have emotional involvement, you knew this and you still wanted to do this."

Her back was still pressed to the door, "I told you we didn't have to! You still wanted to!"

He stood there glaring down at her. His jaw clenched and tight. His eyes tossing daggers through her.

"Don't you blame me or tell me it was right or wrong! You did it to, and if there was no emotional involvement for you then that wasn't my fault, but I have not thown it in your face, nor am I planning to. I didn't ask if she were better then me, nor would I want to know..." she saw his mouth open and looked up at him, "Don't even think of asking that about him and I, for I won't answer it right now... I'll tell you it was different, but it wasn't you!"

Marie was breathing heavy, opening the door she walked out of the bedroom, "I refuse to argue in there. I won't start bringing our fights to our bed, sleep on the couch if you like, I'll sleep in the damn car!"

She took the keys from the wall and walked back to the garage and opened the car door, then slid into the back seat, curled up in a ball and wept. In the morning would be better, but would it? She honestly didn't know, she had enjoyed her evening with Wayne, and she admitted to herself that she wanted to again, but if Alan was against the idea... would she beable to not be with him? She was exhausted though couldn't sleep. She sat up and just stared out the front of the window. Her mind and body numb.

Alan was too tired to argue any more. When Marie walked away he fell across the bed and dropped off to sleep almost instantly. It took a combination of bright sunlight angled through the slats so that the beams stabbed him in the face, and a full bladder to finally make him stir in the late morning. Cobwebs in his brain, the bad taste in his mouth and a feeling of grunginess overwhelmed his senses as he returned to bed. He looked at the empty bed in puzzlement until the recollections gradually filled his mind. He couldn't remember everything that had been said, but he knew they had argued viciously, and had probably used words to hurt each other.

He decided to check on her before he tried to rest again, and walked into the den, but she was not on the sofa. He siged and shuffled to the guest room, and was shocked to find that bed empty. He checked every room and his chest pounded a bit faster and harder each time he did not find her. His mind reeled as he sat at the kitchen table and reached the only logical conclusion that seemed available.

"She's gone back to Wayne!"

He walked back to his bathroom to wash his face and straighten up enough for the trip to confront them, his entire body trembling uncontrollably. Looking the mirror he noticed a condition he had not seen in a long time. There were tears flowing down his cheeks.

"Its all my fault." He thought. "Its all my fault."

Still, he could not quell the anger; that she was back in the arms of another man that fast, without any real thought or planning. The anger quickly changed to fear when he stepped into the garage and noticed that both cars were still there.

But when he saw her figured curled up in the back seat, he melted.

"Honey." He said, gently shaking her. "Come on in and lie down. You must feel terrible."

She roused and looked up at him with a faced streaked where tears had washed away the makeup, and didn't resist when he helped her out of the car, and led her back inside.

He laid her on the bed and laid down beside her, each on their side, face to face, arms wrapped around the other.

"I want kiss you." He whispered. "But I've got morning breath that could peal paint."

They fell back to sleep.

It was way past noon when Marie stirred from her bed, at first she didn't think anything of it, but now she recalled what had happened and why she was sleeping in her clothes from last night. She looked at the man laying across from her, and thoughts of Wayne evaporated.

She loved Alan and always had, Wayne was a fantasy that was allowed to come true and as wonderful as the experience was, it was something she would have to try and come to terms with, so it didn't end her marriage. She touched his cheek and then kissed his forehead. Moving from the bed, she grabbed a change of clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower.

Soon the hot water was cascading over her body like liquid velvet, relaxing the sleep filled muscles. She felt the cool draft of air hit her skin, turning she saw her husband climbing into the shower with her.

No words were spoken as he pulled her into his arms and held her. Marie dropped the washcloth and held him back. Their arms encircling the other, as the water hit their bodies. Each one caressed the others back and then Alan lifted her face to his and kissed her. Neither one was sexually aroused, it wasn't the time for that, this was the time to just cherish the other, if only for a moment.

In agreed silence they washed the other, touches of love and respect flowed from their fingertips. When both were cleaned Alan shut the water off and helped Marie from the shower.

"I love you," she told him.

He looked down into her eyes, "I know you do, I love you also. I guess I just wasn't prepared for it, that was all. Knowing you had thought about him and when I heard the sounds you were making, it just stabbed at my gut."

She bent her head and a tear fell. "I can't turn back the clock, and tell you that I wish I hadn't met him. Because that would be wrong, it would be a lie to you. I love you though. This morning when I woke up, I thought of how we could have lost each other, because of all this and I don't want to lose you. It isn't worth it."

Touching his cheek, she stood on his toes and kissed his lips once more. "Let's get something light for lunch in our bellies and we can talk about this in the kitchen. I really want to know what each of us were thinking and last night, the emotions were to raw and new to discuss them, calmly." Marie got dressed as did Alan, she headed towards the kitchen, spying the computer. "I'll get to that later," she told herself, "right now this is more important."

She put together a salad and waited for Alan to grab their drinks from the fridge before he sat down and faced her. "You first please Alan, I only say that because, this angered you more then I realized and I know you had other fantasies you wanted to live out and perhaps that is something you won't be able to do anymore."

Alan used his fork to play with the salad while gathering his thoughts. There were things that needed to be said, but they had to be said correctly, or the calmness they were both relishing would quickly evaporate.

"It is my guess." He started. "That you have a message from Wayne in your email box as we speak. He probably wants to tell you what a great night he had. I also guess that my first question is how are you going to answer him, but don't answer me now. I know you need some time."

He took a long drink of the juice he had opted, and stabbed at his salad, but then dropped his fork.

"But I have a lot of questions. Do you want to see him again? It would be easy for you to say what you think I might want to hear, but he obviously filled a need that I haven't been filling."

He slid his chair back, stood up, and gazed out the large bay window at two mad humming birds fighting over the nearly empty feeder as if there were no more sugar water left in the world; as if there would be no Marie to fill them when they emptied.

"Its a beautiful day." He said, smiling over the mini battle played out over his porch, and then turning back to Marie. "Is there any sweet water left? The feeder is empty."

"I think there's another bottle left." She replied. "I'll get it."

"No, stay put. I got it." He walked to the frigerator and picked out a plastic half-quart bottle of a clear liquid. He hoped it was the right stuff, but in that he had never prepared the nectar or filled the feeder, he wasn't quite sure. Calculating that Marie would correct him if it wasn't right, and that if he was right, she would say nothing, he walked past her, making sure she saw what he was holding.

She watched him take the feeder down, unscrew the base. and filled the bulb with the life sustaining fluid. This was the first time he had ever performed that particular task and she marvled at its potential significance. He had no sooner turned around before the small birds perched back on the flowery base, each peacefullly drinking from their side.

"Well." He said, as he sat down in front of his meal and picked up his fork. "There's at least a little happiness around here."

He looked at the woman sitting quietly across the table.

"Is it possible for us to be happy again?"

Much later that morning long after Alan and MArie had left Wayne awoke sometime around ten. He looked over at Anne who was sleeping soundly still, and if the truth me known was snoring a bit. He smlied at her and got up quietly, and showered in the guest bathroom. After he was cleaned up he went to the kitchen made some coffee and fed the cat.

Looking in the fridge for something to eat he removed a cantaloupe, and honeydew melon, and a package of strawberries, and one of blueberries. He made a fruit salad topped it with some fresh whipped cream and filling a cup with coffee he took a tray into Anne.

She was half awake when he got to her, no doubt stirred by him moving about. She sat up yawning and rubbing her eyes. "Thanks hun, it looks good."

"Happy to be of service, anything else you want?"

"Nope that will do, just get a cup and lay down here beside me, while I eat."

Wayne went and got his own cup and came back with the coffee pot. Pouring himself some and refreshing Anne's he lay beside her and asked, "how do you think he dealt with all this last night."

"How did she?"

"Oh I think she was quite into it, I am fairly sure she enjoyed it, though there seemed to be a bit of tension as the two of them left."

Marie looked up at her husband, "Yes, we can be happy." She touched his hand, "we just need to find out what you and I both want."

Alan looked at her, and sighed heavily, "What do you want?"

"Alan, first and foremost, I don't want our marriage to end. I love you very much and this is something that we both wanted. You wanted to try swinging, and I wanted to try and live a fantasy of mine. We did it and we can't change it. I love you and that hasn't changed."

She stood, grabbed the plates and disposed of what wasn't consumed. "I'm sure their is an email from Wayne and I'll look at it later. Right now this is what is important, the email is there... it'll keep."

Walking back to him, she touched his shoulder, "Ok, I'll tell you what I want, and then I'll listen to you, I think we both need to take a breath and if we fill what the other is saying is hurting we really examine why."

Sitting back down across from him, Marie set her hands in her lap and looked at her husband, taking a deep breath she tried to relay her feelings to her husband in a way that didn't add more problems. "First, like I said.. I don't want our marriage to end, over this. Second, I think we can be happy again."

"Alan, I don't want our marriage to slip back into the routine that it had become. Something must have triggered this for the both of us. I know it was becoming routine for me, and that is why the thrill and excitement of the online relationship became so appealing to me."

She took a drink of her refreshment, then continued. "You may not have realized it, but over time you stopped touching and caressing. You came to bed, we did it and then you slept. It became like I was just a body to relieve your needs, I didn't like feeling that way."

Marie saw the clenching in his jaw. "I didn't know I was that bad a lover," he said, the obvious hurt in his voice.

"No, love I didn't say that. I said you got distracted or just hurried. I still was able to cum, but I would have to think more of you and I trying different things. Once I imagined you had tied me up and teasing me, that was wonderful. I have imagined many fantasies with you and me, things we have never tried before, toys we have never used, or used once but never again."

She swallowed the lump in her throat. "I know your going to ask me if I want to be with Wayne again, so I'll just answer it now." Marie closed her eyes and with trembling hands tucked in her lap, she sighed, "Right now, yes I do. Not to replace you, I love you very much. I enjoyed last night, but I never lost track that you were my husband, and when you interrupted us, I was embarrassed because you saw me that way with someone else. I didn't realize how ashamed it would make me. It surprised me because just earlier we had stumbled across you and Anne."

"Alan, I liked being with him. I won't lie about that. Do I love him? Yes, but no where near like I love you." Marie closed her eyes and tried one last time to express herself to her husband. "I know I was very upset when you presented the idea of swinging to me, and I really had no right to, because of what I had been doing. I would like to explore this type of relationship with you. If you wish to explore it with other couples beside Anne and Wayne then I will be open to that also. I know that my emotional connection to Wayne truly bothered you and I apologize for that, but I can't change it."

Marie closed her eyes then opened them once more, this time, she waited anxiously for her husband to either lose his temper, or try and express to her what he was feeling. Right now Marie was at peace with her emotions, and hoped that Alan would express to her what he felt about Anne and the events of last night.

"I noticed the tension when they left also," Anne answered. "I had a good time, I usually do, and I think he did also. At least until the very end."

"Oh?"

"Well, I opened my mouth and told him to keep in mind that he would eventually have to go home." Anne sighed and leaned against the wall, "Well that put a damper on the mood."

Wayne looked at her, "I'm sure it did, but it is realistic of the whole situation."

"Exactly, anyway... after that it just wasn't the same, he was into it, but not "into" it. You understand, kinda like Bobby's first wife, kinda went through the motions."

He looked at her and sighed, knowing exactly what she was talking about.

Anne looked at her husband, "He isn't bad in bed, and I would enjoy it again. I know he wanted to watch you guys and if he had chosen to do that instead of return with me, and then come to me when he had his fill of you and his wife screwing, he'd have been in for a rude awakening.... I would have told him where to go, leave me on the sidelines I don't think so."

Wayne winked, "No man would leave you on the sidelines babe."

"They best not!" She laughed. "I guess I'd have to say he was surprised when we saw you guys kissing and hugging good night."

"You saw that? I'm sorry babe."

"Sorry? No don't be. I've known about you and Marie, it was shock to him, I think to see how into it she was." She slid up to her husband and placed her hand on his heart, "He seems like a nice guy, perhaps just needs to romance the wife. Do you think they'll come back?"

Once I imagined you had tied me up and teasing me, that was wonderful. I have imagined many fantasies with you and me, things we have never tried before, toys we have never used, or used once but never again."
..........
I would like to explore this type of relationship with you. If you wish to explore it with other couples beside Anne and Wayne then I will be open to that also.

Alan listened intently, hanging on to every word, and heard things he had never heard before. She was telling him of fantasies she had harbored, but never expressed, at least as far as he could remember. But the most profound revelation was her admission of loving Wayne, and the indication she would like to see him again, and her willingness, if not desire, to see others.

"I too have fantasies that maybe I haven't shared." He said calmly. "But honey, I always considered them so weird I was ashamed to express them. For example, one of my fantasies is to imtimately know your fantasy. I can't explain it but if I were to hear you tell of your innermost secret sexual thoughts, I would actually get off on that. The kinkier your fantasies the more it would turn me on, and the more I would enjoy trying to make them come true when possible."

He paused searching for some kind of reaction on Marie's face. Seeing none, he shot a wiry smile.

"They get worse." He continued. "Another fantasy is to bring another woman to bed with us, but I think I'll stop there. Don't want to throw too much on you at one time."

"But let me tell you what I heard. Although you don't want to destroy our marriage, you would like to see Wayne again. Well....dear, I'm not going to forbid that, but trust in your honesty when you say your love for me is greater. The only thing I ask is that you not see him or anyone else behind my back. As long as we have the trust and honesty, I can deal with it. I would like to preserve the same privilige, at least for now."

Marie looked at her husband, "I really think it is important that we keep communicating to each other, once that stops, then we're back to where we started." She rose up and kissed his cheek, "I do love you very much."

She looked down at him, her hand resting on his shoulder, the other on his side. "I will have to think about bringing another woman into our bed. I mean it would be like you watching me and Wayne last night, I don't know how I would feel about me watching you and another woman." She turned to walk towards the sink, then stopped. "Alan, did you mean me and the other woman together, like all three of us?"

Her face and voice both showed and sounded shocked.

"Yes," he said flatly, "but I wouldn't force you. It is just one of my fantasies."

Marie thought for a moment then tried to respond in a delicate way, "Alan, I don't know, I have to really think even more about that, I mean, I've never been with a woman, and ... well give me some time okay?"

"Of course, I'm not saying lets jump into the sack with the next couple on the list."

"You have a list?!"

"No," he chuckled, "it was a figure of speech, that's all."

"Oh," Marie smiled, "glad to know."

He shook his head in exasperation. "Why not check your emails, I've some work to do, and then maybe over dinner we can talk about other things, we both want to try."

Marie walked over, wrapped her arms around him, and hugged him gently. "I do love you, and if I ever decide to be with Wayne again, I'll tell you. I don't want to keep secrets from you anymore. We've been married to long, and we are both adults, not two young newlyweds trying to just please the other, no matter how much it hurts each of us. I'll always let you know what is going on." She leaned up and kissed his lips.

Pulling away, she touched his cheek one last time, "I will love you forever, if you ever want me to tell him goodbye, I will, but Alan, I will expect the same thing from you."

"I know, go check your email," he kissed her forehead, "we'll talk later some more."

Marie smiled and made her way to her desk and pulled up Wayne's email to her. She read his words, and immediately noticed the difference in them. She printed the page out, to show to Alan later. Marie sat there and stared at the screen.

Her mind recalled all the lovely ways he ended his emails, all the heated words, the fiery passion. This email seemed so formal, disconnected even, nothing like the others. He had enjoyed her. Was she a piece of poultry you have at a nice restaurant? Enjoyed her?

Marie hit the compose button and typed out her email to Wayne.

Wayne,

Thank you so much for your email. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the evening also. It had been so long since I had experience so much attention, and caring. I appreciated it more then you probably even realized. It was everything I could have hoped for.

I felt alive, empowered. Thank you for that gift. I have talked to Alan about you and I, I'm sure he'll email Anne on his own time. He has okayed us being together again as long as I tell him. I would like to be with you again. I'm curious as to if this first time, was it us or just the excitement of those unrealized fantasies online, finally happening.

Marie struggled for a moment, after his email, so crypt and formal, and her talk with Alan, she thought of how to end her letter. Love, Marie, now that she wasn't sure if that was the word she wanted to use. Yours Marie, that to her sounded to close to love. Marie, sounded to formal. Finally she thought of a good way to say good bye.

Until we meet again~Marie

She added the little kiss icon at the end of her name. Her fingers hit the send button and she moved away from the computer. Grabbing her purse she headed out to find Alan, "I'm going to grab us a movie and some frozen pizza's for tonight, I'll be back soon. Unless you want to come with me?"

After breakfast Anne got up and showered while Wayne cleared away the dishes and such, she got ready for work but decided to have one last cup of coffee, and sat down at the computer.

She called to Wayne who was settling in with PBS, Saturday's beng one of the few times he watched tv with any regularity, "did you get an answer to your E mail from last night? You said you sent one didn't you?"

"Yea, I did but there was no answer this morning, why?"

"Oh I just wondered," she then checked her own mailbox which had several items from work that morning, which she dealt with and then she said "I am going to work there are a few things that came up I want to take care of."

"Okay, when will you be home then?"

"Shouldn't be much later than five, what's on the menu tonight?"

"Not sure yet, maybe Monsiuer Pepin will give me some ideas."

She laughed and left. As soon as he heard the car go and he knew she was safely out of the driveway he went to the computer and checked for a reply. Seeing Marie's E-mail he opened it up and read,

Until we meet again~Marie

Wayne thought about this and was torn between doing a more formal reply like he had the night before or something a bit more personal. He did not normally reply anyway except formally, but Marie was different, much different.

Finally he thought, "well here goes nothing,"

Marie;

Last night was special for me as well, obviously you know that I have done this sort of thing before. However I have to say that I have never anticipated anyone as much as I anticiapted you last night. I can still smell you, your perfume, what was that by the way, your musk when I dined on your sex, oh my, the thought of tasting you once again has me all stiff again. To that end I would like to take this one step further if you wish, and of course if Alan is willing. Sometimes the husbands get upset when you push too hard, and I suspect based on what Anne told me about him last night he would be like that, so I would suggest that we go easy for now but here is my suggestion, consider it and discuss it with Alan if you feel it is appropriate, only you would know that and the right time to mention it.

What I propose is this, up on Lake Stonewater we have a cottage, well actually a small timber frame house on a two acre wooded lot, what I propose is, assuming that is that Alan is agreable, is that two of us, either you and me or Alan and Anne go there for the long weekend. If this is rushing things too much I understand, I really like Alan and believe it or not I have a good idea how he must feel just now. However if he is agreeable then whoever stays behind can play house, or doctor or whatever it is they like, lol.

Consider it and see what you think, it is as you know a fairly exclusive area, and fully wooded you could walk around naked if you like, but even if Anne and Alan went there and we stayed behind it would be fantastic, I so want to taste you again, in an unhurried way .

Wayne

He poised his finger over the send key, wondering if maybe he had laid bare more than he should, but Marie was like a drug he could not get enough of, finally he pursed his lips and then hit send.

Then he called Anne at work to make sure she had no objections as far as he knew they had no firm plans for the weekend.

Grabbing her purse she headed out to find Alan, "I'm going to grab us a movie and some frozen pizza's for tonight, I'll be back soon. Unless you want to come with me?"

“Why not, I need a few things myself. Besides.” Alan said with a wink. “If I’ve got to sit through a chick flick, maybe you’ll let me pick the starring chick.”

Marie actually laughed, and he enjoyed the sound as they walked out. The supermarket was the anchor for a large strip mall, with a pharmacy immediately adjacent.

“I’m going to the drug store to pick up a few things.” He told her when they got out of the car. “I’ll meet you in the store in a few minutes.”

He was glad that she had not asked about what he needed. The matter was delicate and he wasn’t quite sure how to approach the subject. He found the intended display rack in the rear, near the prescription desk.

“My.” He thought with amusement. “The choices have increased considerably since the last time I was shopping for condoms. They even have an assortment of sizes now!”

He picked up a 12 pack marked “Extra Large” and turned to find the next items, but stopped as if pondering his decision. With a shrug of his shoulders, he turned back around and picked up a box that did not mention size, meaning they were average. “Just in case.” He thought. “My judgment exceeds reality.”

The next items on his list were batteries. The Silver Missle and Jelly Flex needed AA and the Deep Stroker II needed Cs. He carried the items to the car and deposited them before entering the supermarket to join Marie. He was taken aback when he found her in aisle #3 talking to Amanda. He straightened himself in an attempt to put on his best normal look, and moved toward them.

“Is this a private conversation?” He quipped, making furtive eye contact with his coworker. “Or can a man join in?”

“I don’t see why not.” Laughed Amanda. “Why? Is there one coming?”

“Oh that’s cute!”

“Amanda was telling me how much she enjoyed working with you.” Marie interjected. “And how much your department had improved since you took over.”

“She’s too kind.” Alan replied, turning to his wife. “But we will have to invite her to our place for dinner sometime....so I can listen to more flattery.”

“Sure. That would be great. We’ll give you a call and setup a time..” Said Marie.

Amanda nodded, said her niceties and continued her shopping.

During the trip home Marie noticed the bag of items from the drugstore.

“What’s in here?” She asked, picking it up to peer inside.

Marie took the bag and pretended to look inside, “I'm kidding,” She could see Alan about to reach for it, she figured he had some stomach ailment, and was embarrassed so she decided not to push it.

“So Amanda seems nice, it was funny to run in to her.“ Marie looked at herself in the visor mirror, noting the crows feet around her eyes. “She said she recognized me.” She ran a finger over the fine lines of her lips and then closed the visor a humph of disgust escaped her, “God I'm getting old,” she thought to herself.

“I grabbed two frozen pizzas and some ice cream.” She pulled the movies out, “and I chose these two movies. I didn't know which one to get. We have the famous chick flick,“ she said with a wink, ”and the lovely let's kill everyone with a chain saw, that is always a favorite of mine,“ rolling her eyes, she knew Alan liked a little gore, she didn't mind as long as she could follow it up with a cartoon afterwards, otherwise she didn't sleep well.

She leaned back in her seat and relaxed, “You haven't mentioned Amanda to me before, is she new, she didn't seem to be. I mean she knew a lot about you and the company, but you never mentioned her. So I was just curious as to how long she's been with the company.“

Marie couldn't bring herself to ask what she really wanted to know and right now the thought of what she was thinking didn't sit well with her.

“Oh, she's been there awhile, I can't really think how long she's been around.“ Alan thought for a moment, ”I thought I would have mentioned her when she started, you sure I didn't?“

“I'm sure, her name is Amanda, honey... same name as my mom, I think I would have recalled that. No biggie, I was just curious is all.“

“Oh, ok... well she's been there for a bit of time now and seems to be working out real well, and gets along with everyone.“

“Well, she liked you. That was obvious.” Marie grew silent, and thought of the pretty woman, she was younger then her, smaller, slimmer. “Was she the reason behind this new whole thing that had started to happen between them,“ she kept the thought to herself and said nothing to Alan of her fears.

“You should probably email Anne when we get home, and tell her something about the evening.“ Marie looked out the window, wondering if she were going to change the subject from one woman, why would she bring up another one, “God, this is harder then I realized,” she thought to herself.

Alan noted that Marie was showing some signs of distress, and was asking a lot of questions about Amanda. He had not made any attemt to keep Amanda's existence secret, and was sure he mentioned her when she was hired a couple of years ago. He wondered if perhaps she was sharing some of his own insecurities. When he pulled in the garage and stopped the car, he touched her arm.

"Wait a minute." He said. "I bought some batteries for your toys that we have neglected, and.." He took a deep breath. "Now don't react until you hear me out. I purchased condoms for the both of us. I'm not saying that either of us will have occassion to use them, but it occurred to me that both of us should be safe. We don't want to hurt each other in any way."

They were silent as they toted the supplies inside. After things were put away, he pulled her into his arms.

"I hope you heard me correctly, and I hope you are not angry. Or do you believe we should not be careful?"

Marie looked up to him, “I'm so glad you brought this up.” She bit her bottom lip and looked up at him, her arms still wrapped around his waist.

A tear sparkled in her eye as she put her forehead into his chest. “I didn't mean for it to happen, and I didn't mean to forget, and,“ suddenly the tears just fell from her eyes.

“What?” Alan asked he was starting to really worry, “What happened?” He wasn't sure what to think or if he wanted to know.

“Alan, I love you so much, but... it happened and I was caught up in the moment, and oh god, Alan. Wayne and I didn't use a condom, I mean I meant to honest, but I forgot and he never said anything, so I figure he probably forgot to,“ she sniffed and wiped her eyes.

“I mean, I didn't expect it to be the way it was and I'm sorry, I know your going to be upset and angry and I swear to you that I have no fear of him not being a safe partner, and I was still on the pill so I don't think that will be a problem either, but... “ She walked over to the counter and pulled a box from the bag.

She held it out and gave it to him, “I bought this just to be sure, and I will check it tomorrow, the package says it can read a sample the next day.“

Grapping a chair she sat down and buried her head in her hands and cried, “I'm so sorry, I understand if you don't want to talk to me, I mean... God, I was so irresponsible.“

After a bit of thought, Alan quickly calmed came to her.

“Honey, it’s ok. Hell, I didn’t us any protection either.” He reassured. “I’m just trying to do a little better planning. That’s why I was kind of reluctant for you to see the bag. I really did not want you to think I was implying anything.”

He used his thumbs to wipe the tears at the corners of her eyes, pecked her cheek, and smiled.

“I’ve got one more thing to say and then I have a suggestion.” He said. “I picked up on your concerns regarding Amanda, and believe me when I say there has been nothing between us, and you will be the first to know if anything develops…as per our agreement. Now, for the suggestion. He picked up the bag and pulled out the batteries.

“After dinner,” He chirped. “If you like, we could put these batteries to good use.”

He turned on the oven to preheat it to the temperature required bake the pizza. Marie rose and started putting the rest of the groceries away.

Marie looked at her husband, and kissed him gently. "I'd love to, but that is all we can do, we'll have to use condoms until I know I'm not pregnant, unless," she paused for a moment. "Alan, if you haven't emailed Anne yet then perhaps, you will want to mention it to her, about the condoms and see what she has to say, she needs to beaware of the consequences, I mean you and I want children, perhaps you should discuss it with her."

She sighed, "I'll cook dinner and you go email her, I think it is important that you not neglect her, I know if I were her I'd want to know what you thought of me."

Marie opened the boxes of frozen pizza and grabbed the pan from the bottom of the stove. She set about getting them prepared adding a few of their own fresh toppings, before setting them in the stove.

Setting the timer, Marie headed to the living room to pick up her cross-stitch and settled down to wait for the timer to go off. She hoped that the night would be stress free and the upcoming test she would take later the next evening would be negative. She loved the idea of being a mother, just she wanted it to be Alan's not someone else. She still couldn't believe she had been so irresponsible.

"No ..no, there's no need to contact Anne right now" Alan quickly replied. "I think I get your point, and as usual, you're right. Besides, I think your birth control pills (remember) are a fairly reliable protection against pregnancy."

Alan sat near Marie and picked up the remote, turned the tv on, and started surfing. "What was that song?" He said after making a complete round. "57 channels and nothing on.?" Marie smiled and contiuned her stitiching.

"You know." Alan spoke again. "Sometimes I don't say things right." Marie looked up. "I mean sometimes I might say things with crazy actions, rather than coming right out and saying it....know what I mean? I'm going to try to correct that. From now on, if we have anything to say, we will say it..no codes ..no symbolism ...OK?

"OK honey." The timer on the oven chimed and she carefully place her stitching down, got up, and entered the kitchen. Alan followed her.

"I will contact Anne, but I don't think I'm going to ask to see her again right now, but please do see Wayne again if you like."

After dinner, Alan took care of the dishes while Marie continued to work on her cross-stitch. When he finished, he went to the computer and opened his email box.

Dear Anne

I had a wonderful time last night, and Wayne is a very lucky man. You helped me to reconnect to parts of me that I thought had been lost forever and other parts that I never knew about. May you always be blessed with the happiness and satisfaction you so richly deserve.

Your friend

Alan.
