Peter Lancaster had it all by now. He had started as a lowly intern at a consulting firm and worked his way up to CISO and then decided to do his own thing. He founded his own company devoted to IT security and soon he got the real big customers. He wasn't a real nerd like many of his pears, he was a business man who liked IT puzzles and could understand shareholder value, synergy and investment portfolios. He could talk with the CEO of large companies on even ground and that made him and his company successful. They where expanding and that fast. They had just rented a larger space in a skyscraper and filling the offices where filling with IT specialists, accounting, sales and all the other stuff you needed.
He also had bought a new house and even though most of the renovating had been done by several contractors one or two things where left and so he did it himself. This was the reason he had left the office early on friday but then the office had called and he had to sign in important document. He didn't bother to shower or switch closes for this one signature and so he was now in torn jeans, a t-shirt that had seen better days, cheap sneakers and his brown hair an unruly mess. He just stopped by the desk of his assistant Claire, put his signature under the contract he had read 3 times in the last 2 days and was back to the elevator in no time. The doors where about to close when she approached.
