I'm new to this... how do I change avatar? Right now, I have none, and I can't seem to find any when I try to Edit the Options. Do I have to send in a certain number of posts before I get an avatar?

And what's with that "virgin" it says under my screenname?

You can't add an Avtar untill you have 100 posts. As for the "virgin" title it just means your new. It changes i believe after 30 posts.

Follow up question: Does the "label" (virgin, et al) get assigned? Many people seem to have custom labels. So is there a list of common selections plus a custom option?

Nope .... every one of us was a Lit virgin at one time.

When you get 1000 posts you can title yourself. There is a limit to how many words I believe. And no list of selections. Be creative, show something of yourself when you think up your title. Some of us change frequently. Both AV's and titles.
