The House of Representatives passed a resolution Friday that automatically enrolls young men for selective service, and expands the mandatory draft ages by one years, to men aged 18-26.

Young men are already required to register for selective service if they are between the ages of 18 and 25, but the new resolution would enroll them automatically. Although the draft has not been used in half a century, it is considered a felony if an eligible man fails to register, Fox News reported.

The resolution was included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which approves the defense budget for the next fiscal year, and includes the government's top priorities when it comes to defense and national security policies. The NDAA passed the House in a 217-199 vote.

"By using available federal databases, the [Selective Service] agency will be able to register all of the individuals required and thus help ensure that any future military draft is fair and equitable," Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Chrissy Houlahan said during debate on the resolution last month, according to Defense News. "This will also allow us to rededicate resources — basically that means money — towards reading readiness and towards mobilization … rather than towards education and advertising campaigns driven to register people."

You joke, but most liberals would be perfectly happy to send their daughters as well as sons to die for ZOG and capitalism. Probably deliberate that it's going through while the kids are all on summer break.

For the record, most states automatically register all 18-26 year-old men when they first apply for a drivers license or non-driver ID. And, in others, you can't get a drivers license unless you do register.

Still, this is the kind of thing that understandably gets young people nervous. Doesn't necessarily mean that our ruling oligarchs plan on sending them off to die en masse in the Tenth Crusade or in Barbarosa 2.0. Just that, if they ever decide to do so, they're trying to streamline the process as much as possible.

Let's not kid ourselves; the so called 'equality' movement for women only applies to positions of ease, power, influence and privilege. They're not interested in pushing women into the much larger fields of dangerous, hard work that the vast majority of men have to do.

They'll squawk all day long about trying to equalize things like political positions and high paid CEO jobs. Nothing but crickets when it comes to hard labour and dirty jobs like brick layers, sewage workers, oil riggers, coal miners, etc.

You'll be lucky if there's a half hearted quiet squeak on this issue.

Woke racist policies and incompetent leadership at the top have driven down recruitment of white males to a point of desperation so the government is preparing to return to the draft. If these racist and crazy policies are allowed to continue I predict there will be draft riots in the near future. Right now our military is too small for war with peer adversaries, it's unprepared, it's rudderless, and all fucked up, right down to squad level. The warrior class in this country has walked away from our military and you can thank the Left for it.

Back in the day, I got a notice I would be ineligible for college financial assistance until I produced proof that I'd registered for the draft. Sent them photocopies of my DD214 and honorable discharge and asked that I be taken off their mailing list.

You may have seen this video that is making the rounds on Facebook. It was taken at an unidentified Army base. The scene is a 12-mile forced march. Her total equipment load is about 35 pounds (that is the equivalent of four one-gallon containers of milk, by way of reference). That is the minimum standard, and no one carries more than they have to. The march has to be completed within three hours. (These are the standards.) You can see her time on the clock near the end of the video.

If you are applauding her, you are taking away the wrong lesson. At the end of the 12-mile march, you are not supposed to lie in a fetal position and twitch uncontrollably. You are supposed to be able to enter combat from the march. In other words, the 12-mile forced march is not a ceiling to be sought; it is the floor of expectations. By comparison, look at the man crossing the finish line in front of her. And keep in mind that absolutely no one in an infantry unit will be so lucky as to carry 35 pounds of equipment:

These standards designate strength requirements for infantry as “very heavy” — meaning a soldier will occasionally have to lift more than 100 pounds, but frequently or constantly be capable of lifting more than 50 pounds. In reality, infantrymen carry anywhere from 60 to 120 pounds of gear in the field depending on their job, Army officials have said.

If you look at the packing list for the march, you will see it excludes ammunition and unit equipment like night vision goggles, etc.

Her conditioning clearly needs to be way better. But what I also saw was grit and determination and a never give up attitude. And that’s someone you want on your team and who’ll have your back.

Do you ever fact-check anything before you post? In Rostker vs. Goldberg (1981), numerous feminist organizations filed amicus curae in support of extending the draft to women. They lost, but they tried.
