the baby of our family, my brother, is helping his wife to conceive as I speak!!! He's the first grandchild on our side of the family (7 so far) to carry on the family name.

Seeing a newborn makes me ache to have another.. any other women feel this?

I should hope that a husband helps his wife conceive their baby. I can just imagine the phone call.
"Hunny, you won't believe this. You remember that trouble we've been having lately conceiving a baby? Well I spoke with the mailman about it and he's fixing the problem right now!"

How do you know they're conceiving at right this minute? Are they in the other room?

there's something about..

newborns that just touch me. smelling their head, their little fingers, the faces they make.. the warmth of feeling them lying on your chest as their breath brushes against your neck.. it's so.... unreal. ~sigh...... I want another baby dammit. hehe

Never....

hehe.. I get that.

To explain: I drove my Mom to the hospital at lunchtime today b/c my sister-in-law's water broke..and now (10 min. ago) she's around 7 cm dialated and is in the process of delivering... I suppose I used the wrong word there eh? hehe.. sorry.. the excitement, y'know.

Anyway, just waiting on the word now.

thanx! Just so y'all can experience the drama

she's now 7.5 cm dialated and is probably going to deliver somewhere around 10 pm tonight EST

Hmmmm, so does this mean that when my wife delivers our baby I need to plan on posting regular updates about our progress too? I hope not because I think I'll be in trouble if I leave to come home and post for y'all. Guess you'll just have to wait for the good news after it's all done :).

Only about one more month...

If anyone is interested, most public (and some private) hospitals offer volunteer jobs whenever you can squeeze the hours in. I know how wonderful it is to feel a baby in your arms even though I've never had one of my own. I worked in a Newborn Nursery. There's such a warm feeling in your heart when you are hugging a little baby. My jobs included rocking restless infants, making sure that babies had their bottles, changing diapers, giving baths, etc. I loved every precious minute of it. Just a thought...

ManOSafety...I had no idea. Congratulations on that wonderful news. Wishing you all the best...

Awww

Yeah, I like babies too. I'd go have one if I wasn't a transient college student about to move to another country. A few months ago I got to do a little babysitting of a three month old, and man! Babies are HEAVY! I didn't realize this, my mother never let me hold one before, heh. Those sacks of flour they tried to get us to care for in junior high don't even compare. Thanks alot, home ec.

baby fever

I have baby fever BAD!!!! lol. I have endometriosis, so it has been hard for us to concieve. I am taking Clomid now and hope to have results this month. I want a baby so bad and it is hard because everyone is having them around me. My friend just had twin girls and I have 7 nieces and nephews 4 of them under 4 years old. Congratulations, I hope the mom and her new baby are doing well...and that the daddy is sitting back and is relaxed! (While they are in the hospital that is about the only time he will be relaxing).

AAawwwww congratulations. My niece is pregnant with her first. She is due late March.

you mean, like, regret my vasectomy?

Never, nope, no way, Jose.

*grin*

Congrats to the new Auntie..!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!

TN Vixen, that is so neat! I bet you are all excited! I hope all goes well and healthy for your brother, his wife, and newest member to your family!

Congrats, TN!! Babies are God's way of saying the world should continue. There's nothing like babies to bring out the best in most people.
I'll just enjoy other people's babies, though. I don't get that urge any more!! I'll just wait for grandbabies!!

ManOSafety, congrats!!! *clapping, jumping up and down, general hootin' & hollerin'!!*
