I'm really horny, but very nervous due to my inexperience. Does anyone have any tips about getting over nervousness and sexual insecurity? It would be greatly appreciated.:)

just do it....it will work itself out....and do it because you want to with someone you want to!

This might not be the answer you are looking for but alcohol is about the easiest way to calm the nerves, although maybe not the safest or the smartest way. Another thing would be to masterbate or just explore your body, the more comfortable you are with your own body will lead to more confidence when your with someone else. However, EVERYONE is nervous their first couple of times.

This is so true and should help you. I would also say try not to think of it as in "ok I am gonna have sex today" just let yourself makeout and see where it goes. you will find if you are thinking about doing it and stressing over it you will miss half the fun (gettting there) ;)

There's no rush. You'll be horny the rest of your life.I would do it with someone you had feelings for. It's always better for me when theres the mental connection as well as the phsyical. If you're inexperienced I think trusting the person your with would make it a lot easier and more gratiying.Good fortune to you.

I was "inexperienced" too when I met my online lover last year. I'd got out of an emotionally abusive marriage and had only ever had sex with my husband. I'd never had an orgasm with him though I could when I masturbated. My lover told me that I wasn't inexperienced, I just hadn't had the right teacher, someone to be comfortable enough with to just explore and learn about myself. I was shy and nervous as hell but our first time together was magical :D

We've been lovers now for six months. We live 5 hours apart so we can only get together every 4-6 weeks. It's taken time for me to relax and let go but he's very patient and I trust him implicitly....if I say stop that's it and he stops immediately. It's never too late to learn - I was 43 years old when I met him :) We'd talked online for 2 months before we got together so we didn't just jump into anything. It's much better when you love and trust the person you're with :)

Try reading some erotic material........either stories here
on Literotica, or from an erotic anthology (i.e. Best
American Erotica series), or regular erotic fiction (i.e.
Anais Nin's "Delta of Venus" or "The Sleeping Beauty"
trilogy under Anne Rice's penname, A.N. Roquelaure).
Even try picking up a copy of a book w/ erotic photos,
or a copy of the Kama Sutra or the Perfumed Garden. Or
if you feel daring, a copy of Penthouse Letters.

I wish you luck! :)

Jen ALWAYS gets the greatest books to read! If there were ever a job for Literotica librarian, I'd nominate Jen in a heartbeat!

Nervousness is natural when you're learning something new. Just sit back, relax, and have fun! Explore yourself and each other -- you'll only be unexperienced once! ENJOY!!
