But games of all sorts are fun. I haven't had a good game night in 3 weeks and I'm about to rip my hair out. I need my fix man!

lol I just did a game night last weekend, until I got to drunk to game properly >.> but it was my birthday so I was entitled! :)

When you work in a nursing home, you just cringe at the thought. :D

That can be respected

I won't be trading in my Kindle anytime soon although it does have its drawbacks.

Which Kindle do you have? I am debating getting one. But, I am purists with my books. I like the actual physical copy in my hand. The one reason I want one is a lot of authors I read are out of print. For me to buy the physical copy could cost hundreds of dollars. A lot of them have been released for the kindle for only 10-15 dollars. Can't decide.

I have a Kindle Fire now. Started with the first edition but upgraded last year. I too love physically holding a book, and I love the smell of old books. Took some getting used to. But the graphics a great and it is much easier to carry one little Kindle. The prices are creeping up every year, but there are a lot of things you can download for free or discounted. Not premium authors usually but there are daily deals that you might find something for 1.99.

Bwahahaha! I can't think of a single interesting thing to post about my job here or on another thread, at least nothing that isn't HIPAA protected. :D

Although it is amazing that we get residents who move in with their laptops and want internet access (which we provide). There are geeks of all ages.

I'm leaning toward the Fire HD. Mainly because I just read the last four Walking Dead issues on it. Holy shit. It was incredible. Completely changed comics for me. And I also love the smell of old books. Or new books really. I have had friends make fun of me for sniffing books at book stores before. My dream is to have a full library. I want all walls covered with books shelves with a fire place in it and high backed leather chairs. Perfection.

I thought I was the only crazy book-sniffer! My friends make fun of me too. I just donated about 1000 books to the local library when I moved to Georgia. But I still have several hundred left.

Ha. Nope. There are several of us out there. I am sitting between 1200-2000 right now. I have several really nice collectible, signed ones. I keep thinking about donating what I have read and downsizing but every time I get ready to, I can't bring myself to do it. What do you mainly read?

I greatly prefer my Galaxy Tab 10.1 to my Kindle Fire. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing the Kindle Fire has going for it is that I can stream things from Amazon Video (since I have Prime).

Belated happy birthday! Have one of the cookies I made but can't eat.

Stupid diet.

Thank you :) *eats delicious cookies*

Ah well that makes sense then. :)

The smell of books is indeed wonderful, and I've always loved the idea of a full library. Though I'm not sure I'd accumulate enough books to fill one myself.

What do you like about it over the Fire? I haven't really looked into it.

No? There is still plenty of time. Don't give up yet, ha. Maybe people will donate a healthy portion to you.
