I like the looks of a very closely trimmed area, male or female.
I Do not care for the big bush look on Either - and lots of hair does get in the way. But I also do not care for the 100% smooth and shaved thing Either. Just Right in between

I just did my own area by shaving the lips and trimming the "landing strip" (more a small triangle) very short -- and I really like it. I like the hair and I love the sensations I get of skin and cloth rubbing on the bare lips.
