Tell that to the folks in the Nashville Police Department where they just dropped an "ability test requirement in order to increase its female force from 13% to 30%," according to End Wokeness and a recent report on local station WSMV.

Before we get to that, let's talk a little common sense.

I don't think anyone should discriminate against narcoleptics, but that doesn't mean I want someone who suffers from it to pilot my flight to Tucson next month. If you lack the strength to climb up the wall and help haul the next guy up, maybe you just weren't meant to be a Navy SEAL. If you can't carry a 200-pound mayor out of a burning building, it doesn't really matter whether you're a man or a woman because firefighting is not for you.

The police are often called in to check on registered offenders.

A little adjustment in training could help. Less chokeholds, more strikes on the groin and back of the knee. They could have also zapped him with any of the gadgets they carry. Laws apply to both sexes, so keeping some female cops on duty is at least beneficial, maybe even necessary, for their perspective on law enforcement.

Plenty of offenders are stronger and faster than most male officers, and not all police work involves direct combat with criminals. Bizarre that you think it does. Lack of women in the police means that law enforcement is missing out on a huge number of talented people, and a drive to recruit more women would benefit everyone.

I don't think it does matter, but when it does, they aren't up to the job. No woman can be counted on to prevail against the average man who has decided to fight. If they were up to it our Army and Marine Corps would be full of them and the men could stay home.

Police carry guns and nightsticks in order to increase their odds of bringing down a criminal if they have to, but it's hardly the majority of police work. There are plenty of positions that never involve apprehending criminals so no reason why women shouldn't have an equal role across the force. Most female officers are plenty tough enough to do the physical parts of the job along with the men.

You really should stay away from the Sciences. Yes each person receives 23 chromosomes from each parent. But there are only two sex chromosomes, the X and the Y. So if each parent gives one, ie the female gives an X and the male a Y, how are any females born since females are XX...Males are XY

Look at the video, four female officers couldn't prevail over a single male. Do they look like they're in shape? They even had to call for two additional cars and he still escaped. When you slap 30lbs of equipment including body armor on an overweight female body that doesn't have to meet the same physical standards as male officers, your police force is crippled to the extent they are present in that force. Especially when up against potentially violent males that make up the majority of the dangerous criminal element in any city.
