People complain about government bureaucrats, but frankly, I think most bank tellers and managers could run circles around them.
I was working with a bank who told me an executor of an estate (i.e. a dead person) not get into the safe deposit box of the decedent because the executor was not on the signature card. She informed me that all I needed to do was to get the box holder to authorize the executor to be put on the signature card.
"Well," I informed her "Will the bank be paying to have her removed from her grave, or should that be billed to the estate." She said she didn't know, but that she doubted the bank would pay for it.
I told her that because the person was dead, it probably wouldn't help anyway. Explaining again that the court appointed this person to remove the property and distribute it according to the dead person's will. "Oh, I don't know" said the teller. "I am going to have to try to call her to make sure it is ok for this (executor) to get in."
Like, (sorry KM), what the hell about dead don't you understand!
I can't tell you how many times bank tellers and managers tell me I can't do something, like, withdraw money, or like today, deposit money.
The final answer: OK, I think I will close my account today.
I is like the sun coming up with angels on the horizon.
All of a sudden they come back and say, "uh, I guess we can do that for you today, . . " Like they are doing me a favor.
(the naked part was just a joke)
