Lol it hotter than too rats fucking in a wool sock out here .Sounds like so much fun! Except, ya know, for the swamp ass weather. I can almost smell the smoker going... mmmm...
I have only been to Alabama 3 or 4 times - but the people I met there were so wonderful, and several times I was at a evening BBQ which is a cherished memory of my time there.View attachment 2358838

Seeing lightning bugs, hearing the crickets, watching the bats swooping around. What this blurry image hides is 100's of fireflies/lightning bugs. It's nice to see them in greater numbers this year.

Coyotes calling from down in the creek bottoms..Seeing lightning bugs, hearing the crickets, watching the bats swooping around.
They're in the fields across the road. Can tell when they're on the hunt. Neighbor has 3 calves he's watching over.Coyotes calling from down in the creek bottoms..
Thank God for AC. No, I mean literally, thank Him. I've been in many a church that the AC either broke, or the leadership had said "oh, it is only hot a few days, we don't need AC!"Just got out of church in a 90 degree sanctuary with broken AC.
Taking a breather in my (thankfully air conditioned) study.

I live in the suburbs, with a lot of forest around, and there is a colony of coyotes that get to calling. Not the stereotypical "coyote howl," but the other vocalizations they do. In the dark of the night, it can sound chilling. I love it.Coyotes calling from down in the creek bottoms..
We have two tenant congregations that use our building in the afternoon. I think we're going to ask them to set up in the fellowship hall, where it's at least a little cooler. By afternoon the sanctuary will be completely miserable (not that it wasn't this morning).Thank God for AC. No, I mean literally, thank Him. Oh, that just screams "spring." Beautiful!
Children of the night…. What beautiful music they make.I live in the suburbs, with a lot of forest around, and there is a colony of coyotes that get to calling. Not the stereotypical "coyote howl," but the other vocalizations they do. In the dark of the night, it can sound chilling. I love it.
