If we learned nothing from the Scooter Libby incident, it is that reporters salivate over the thought of getting Republicans, fact-finding to the nth degree and speaking truth to power, but when their party does it (and survey after survey has shown that especially the national press votes 90% Democratic) then they tend to go after those who wish to report the truth, find the facts, and hold power accountable.

If this were George W. Bush, most of you would be screaming bloody murder about plastic turkeys and banners with messages, real important shit that got no one killed or sent the clear and totally understandable message to those at war with us, we are not at war with you, we are at war with ourselves.

Just to refresh folks' memories, Scooter Libby was convicted of several crimes and disbarred. That doesn't happen with a mere media witch hunt.

Scooter Libby was convicted of a process crime the same way that Wen Ho Lee was.

What we need to remember is that your side of the aisle, back then was howling for impeachment over a slip of the tongue in which nobody, not a single person, died or was even put into danger.

Now we had that 3AM call and all we know about President Obama is that he was MIA.

But at this point, what difference does it make?

After all, the movie wasn't a lie was it?

Scooter Libby put American lives at risk by outing a CIA agent for political gain, then perjured himself seven ways to Sunday to cover up his crimes.

Not surprisingly, not-Republican AJ sees nothing wrong with Republicans doing this.
