One of the most erotic movies I've ever seen on television was a "modern" movie but was made in black and white, at least in my memory. The male star resembled Patrick McGoohan, but this movie doesn't appear in his filmography so it must have been someone else. A pretty young dark haired girl masochist is hired by a domineering sadist as his office assistant. All the other applicants for the job quit, except for this one young woman who surprisingly enjoys the criticisms and tortures that her male boss subjects her to, and cuts herself with razor blades from her sewing kit just to feel the pain, because it is preferable to feeling nothing. Finally, they both recognize their respective natures and instead of calling an end to their unusual relationship, instead live happily ever after in their respective dominant/submissive roles.
Two of the most memorable scenes involve the girl serving her "master" coffee with her wrists tied to a dowel rod passing over her shoulders, thus making everything much more difficult. The movie ended with the male lead pounding himself into the female who had her arms tied behind her to a tree with rough bark.
