Most notable pandemic purchase

I have climbed around on a lot of roofs and buildings yes fun for awhile but like anything it becomes just something you do...Beside now you need fall arrest which complicates it...

My purchase for the pandemic was a Snowmobile this last winter...

Well, I was sorta joking about being a roofer but it's fun being up on the roof. There's a spot behind the chimney where the angle isn't quite steep enough so it collects a gob of leaves from time to time. I grumble about having to pull out the ladder but I actually have fun going up. Of course, that's like twice a year. If I had to do it every day...yeah, your point is well taken.

I can hit the leafy spot with the hose from my patio but where's the thrill in that?

I am sure. I have had a boot but never a cast. Good thing you will have it off before Summer.

Yes, because next to Invisalign and the boot, the third purchase was my wedding dress. And at present the boot nor cast will look with it.

Kids leave?

And, they still live in the same town, so that's nice.

I was on the roof a couple years ago fixing a spot where the wind tore away a couple of shingles. It was a Saturday and rain was forecast on Sunday, so it needed doing. My cell rang and I answered. My wife was calling from the states and we chatted for a bit until she said "What are you doing right now?" I told her I was on the roof repairing a spot of shingles that had been torn out by the wind on Friday and holy hell, I got the "What the fuck are you doing on the roof?" speech. Next time, I won't answer the phone.

My Japanese Nakiri and my 7qt Staub Crocette. Both blazed in about the same price. Well worth it.

I'm waiting for my Misen 7QT Dutch Oven.

I've looked at those. I will be asking about it in the future. I like the reverse lid thing. I have a cuisinart 7.75 that I bought about 5 years back. It was $120 and I got a good 5 years out of it, but I guess I beat the piss out of it. It's chipped and scratched and stained. Did really well for the first 4.

We had a Lodge. Lasted a while. The interior coating got spider-web cracks across the bottom. Then, rust bleeds through the cracks. Only good for a small boat anchor after that.

Oh, did get the reversible lid option. And in blue.

I spent most of my disposable income during the pandemic on repair parts and building materials. I fixed up all of my heavy equipment, and did a lot of construction work, both for myself and others.

Now I am building an ultralight travel trailer. I learned during the pandemic that I need a little more space if I want to avoid staying in motels. BTW, camping is a good way to vacation during a pandemic of this type.
