Most notable pandemic purchase

I had the backyard completely redone with privacy fencing, planters, pea gravel, fireplace, furniture new bbq and decks.

With this last check: Two week's worth of staff salaries at a historic movie theater in a small town (not mine)--to help it stay open at minimum service through the pandemic and survive to the other side.

A midi keyboard. And I'm finally learning to adequately play it, something I've been annoyed I can't my whole life.

Chest freezer, cos where I work I get wholesale size boxes of frozen stuff. And a new fridge cos mine died a fortnight ago. New one has one of those water dispenser thingies in the door which I intend to fill with white wine.

20'x10' poly greenhouse. h's favourite place to potter on days not so warm as his bones love.

A new roof. We had a hailstorm last fall and it tore up my roof and gutters something awful.

Fascinating process to watch. There's a lot that happens under those shingles. Didn't even know a ridge vent existed, let alone what it was for. And they did meticulous work around the skylight. I'm really impressed. I got up there after they were done and walked around. Kinda fun. Maybe I'll become a roofer in my next life.

No you do not want too be a roofer

I have climbed around on a lot of roofs and buildings yes fun for awhile but like anything it becomes just something you do...Beside now you need fall arrest which complicates it...

My purchase for the pandemic was a Snowmobile this last winter...
