Morpheus? Kazaa? Bearshare?

I used Morpheus when they were brand new. When they went through their little rough patch, I just forgot about p2ps. But I think it's time to try again.

Kazaa has the better rating on download.com, but it's famous for hidden nasties.

Anyone here use a p2p? Which one do you like best?

Regular Kazaa has to many fucking pop ups and spywares.

The link I posted for Kazaa lite.. is a hacked program. It's "regular" Kazaa.. just with a few files changed. It thinks the the spyware and pop ups are there.. but they aren't.

Ever hear of bittorrent? Highest quality crack I've smoked since the good ol days of Napster.

It has its strengths and weaknesses like any other but there's no spyware. Good for tv shows, movies, programs, full albums, and of course porn. Basically big files so use it at night. Also, it maximizes bandwidth so don't expect to be surfing with with speed as you download/upload.

I use Kazaa, cause last time I had a cable modem, Napster was the one. That's how long ago THAT was.

I got Kazaa Lite from a friend, without having to pay the donation the site charges now.

I decided to go with Winmx after I saw it's outstanding rating on download.com. Thanks for pointing it out to me, CNN! I'd never heard of it before.

So, here I am about fifteen minutes later. Winmx is downloaded without a hitch, I love the format, am currently acquring "La valse d'Amelie" by Yann Tiersen, and some soul with good taste is grabbing a copy of U2's "When Love Comes to Town" w/BBKing from me.

Gotta love it!

Sigh... now's the time when I come in and point out that with the exception of kazaa and BitTorrent winmx, bearshare, Limewire and Morpheus are all the same thing. Just different faces. Hell Morpheus is stolen code from gnucleus.

The other P2P file sharing networks don't hold a candle to KaZaA, IMO. I'd say conservatively that I've downloaded $50,000 worth of software alone from KaZaA. Add to that 15,000+ music files and every Sopranos and Six Feet Deep episode, ect ...

Whenever KaZaA is shut down, something else will pop up to take its place. The genie is out of the bag on file sharing. The record companies especially need to change their business model, improve their product with value added features, or get left in the dust.

I've used them all and I'm a WinMX junkie, I like the format and I can almost always find what I want there. I fell it's the best thing since napster. Just my opinion.

I have both Kazaa-Lite and WinMX on my puter. When I first tried them, I liked the WinMX better but now with the new Kazaa-Lite version, that is my fave. Been loading for days. I am planning on making patriotic CD's for me and mine for 4th of July and am loading every single thing I can find. (along with every anti-iraq, anti-sadaam, anti bin-Hiden' for my kid and I to enjoy. )

I am not sure when the newer verion came out, but I had d/l'ed the first (older) one only around 6 months ago. Worth it to check if you are still on the older one.

Yeah... the idea of using large amounts of bandwith to illegally distribute files to users who will 1.) Refuse to pay and 2.) Circumvent your alternative payment methods is a sure-fire moneymaker that any business will be sure to take up.
