If we could just have enough global warming to not have cold winners that would be great.

Just thinking how lucky it was for Roger Goodell to be in K.C. yesterday for the AFC Championship instead of New Orleans for the NFC Championship. He may not have made it in one piece if he had been in the dome.

The restaurant across the parking lot from us has gone out of business. But that doesn't stop would be customers from pulling up all day long. They see the signs, try the locked doors. And just look so confused.

I almost empathize.

That's how you know the place had good food. I still can't find a place that has fall off the bone barbecue ribs pork or beef like the one that closed more than 15 years ago.

Tell me something beautiful

Some folks are just waiting for their chance to be upset. Some people only speak to you for their chance to talk.

But, what is "done"?

Washed
Dried... done?

Folded on the couch?

In a drawer?

*bites nails and looks at the basket of clothes*

Like many things in life, it's never done. It's all on a non-stop rotation.

Sort of like government shutdowns. :D

Did people used to be more generous and caring in their spirit, or is that just a rose tinted memory of the past.

We live in a negative time, that's for sure, but it shall pass.

It is a world that seems to lack chivalry and kindness, we can hope though.

It seems like the right thing to do...but is it? I don't like the idea of taking on more than I can handle.

I think people were more concerned about their neighbors than they are today. Growing up, I knew my neighbors by name. Several older people saved their bottles for us to return for the deposit. If someone had a sick child who couldn't go to school, there was someone who would look after them. When my step-father shoveled the snow by our house, he automatically did the neighbors. If someone went out to clear the snow from their car, they did the neighbors. It was a different world and there are still people who care, but the bad gets all the publicity.

Although I understand the physics, I still am amazed when I see an airplane weighing hundreds of tons, full of hundreds of people, gliding through the air without dropping like a rock.

Dieting fads.. they amaze me.

People do not seem to comprehend that stopping all nutrients to the body will work out worst for your body then being a little "overweight".

I'm not saying to let yourself go and eat a all junk food diet just do it responsibly.

The person who invented photoshop could have hidden it from the public and photoshopped whoever he wanted and nobody would know how he was doing it. He could have had one hell of a laugh

It's not the cold that will kill you, ... uh, yeah, it's the fucking cold that will kill you.
