Moonlight Elf

Sis and I are both doing fine. School has started for me so I don't get to spend as much time with her as I'd like to. She spends the mornings doing checkups and therapy. By late afternoon she is usually worn out. She takes naps about 2 times a day. Her nurses tell me that she's an easy patient. She doesn't have any behavioral problems and never shows anger. There are times that she feels down. It is difficult when improvements are not clear from day to day. But she does the best she can.

My parents have been very stressed. I think it would have been easier on them if they had been here. Infact, they are wanting to come here. She will need someone to help around the house when she is discharged. I don't know when they will be able to but am hoping they can. It will do her good to have her family around her.

I will give her your hugs and everyone's well wishes. Please tell everyone that we thank them. I know that all your support has mean't a lot to her and has helped in her recovery. :)

Good new on a bright sunny day! :D

Thank you Abs. :rose:

Keeping up the good thoughts and wishes for our Moonie. :rose:  :rose:

You can do it Moonie! Just a step each day. The individual steps are not that much, but they add up.

Thanks for the update, Abs. :rose:

Brother, thank you for letting us know.

Moonie, keep strong, girl.

Update

I visited Moonlight today. She is one of two Lit people I know in real life. She recognized me as soon as I walked into the room. I was afraid that she might not remember me since she has some memory loss. But she greeted me with a smile. I got the feeling that if she could she'd have got up off the bed for a hug.

I sat beside her for the better part of an hour. She looked physically and mentally tired. But she is still eager to move forward. She showed me things she's relearned. Can you imagine having to learn to tie your shoes a second time? To use a zipper or button your shirt?

I caught her right after a nap so she complained about how she looked a mess and didn't even have her hair combed. So, I help her brush her hair. I told her about how her bro has been keeping Abs and I informed, about her friends at the AH, and about how we all are pulling for her full recovery. Then we both cried for a bit.

She misses everyone here very much and sends hugs. She is very touched by all of your support.

Godmother Abs, she sends you an extra big hug for watching out for lil bro.

:rose:

Has she seen this thread? Maybe someone should print it out for her and take it to her. It might cheer her up a bit

Wonderful news from Abs and Fairy.

Keep fighting Moonie, you can do this.

Much love from Mat and Min.
